Chiefs pare roster down to 53

(8/30/2014) The Chiefs have announced their final round of cuts and other moves to reach the league-mandated roster of 53 players.

Among the offensive players let go are fullback Jordan Campbell, wide receivers Fred Williams and Mark Harrison, guard Ricky Henry, tackle J'Marcus Webb and running back Charcandrick West.

The defensive players gone from the roster are safeties Jonathon Amaya and Malcolm Bronson, linemen Dominique Hamilton, Kyle Love and Kona Schwenke, linebackers Alonzo Highsmith, Devan Walker and Nico Johnson and cornerbacks Justin Rogers and DeMarcus Van Dyke .

The Chiefs have also placed Tyler Bray and Kyle Williams on IR and Mike Catapano on the non-football injury list.


Three injuries headline Chiefs inactives

(12/22/2013) Among the seven players inactive for the Chiefs in Week 16 against the Colts, only three are out as a result of injuries. Tackle Branden Albert (knee) is joined on the sidelines by linebackers Justin Houston (elbow) and Nico Johnson (ankle).

Additionally, offensive linemen Rishaw Johnson and Eric Kush, quarterback Tyler Bray, and defensive lineman Jaye Howard are all out of uniform Sunday. 


Justin Houston one of two linebackers out for Chiefs

(12/22/2013) Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston was unable to play through his elbow injury in Week 16 against the Colts Sunday, the fourth game in a row he has missed as a result of the injury. Houston was able to return to practice during the week, but could not play Sunday.

Houston was joined by fellow linebacker Nico Johnson (ankle) on the inactive list for Week 16. 


Seven probables pepper Chiefs injury report

(12/20/2013) The Chiefs have designated seven players as probable for Sunday against Indianapolis, including pass-catchers Sean McGrath (knee), Anthony Fasano (concussion/knee) and Dexter McCluster (ankle).

The others are tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder), linebackers Nico Johnson (ankle) and James-Michael Johnson (shoulder) and safety Ron Parker (shoulder).

Chiefs inactives Week 13

(12/1/2013) The Chiefs have made C Eric Kush, LB Justin Houston, DL Kyle Love, LB Nico Johnson, OG Rishaw Johnson, OG Rokevious Watkins and QB Tyler Bray inactive Week 13 against the Broncos. 

Houston is dealing with an elbow injury, and was unable to practice all week. He was ruled out Friday.

(11/24/2013) The Chiefs have made CB Dunta Robinson, OT Eric Fisher, C Eric Kush, OG Jon Asamoah, DL Mike DeVito, LB Nico Johnson and QB Tyler Bray inactive Week 12 against the Chargers.

Fisher, Asamoah and DeVito are all starters, so the team will be missing some talent on the line this week.

(11/3/2013) The Chiefs inactive list for Week 9 against the Bills features just one injured player, as defensive end Mike Catapano (ankle) was unable to play through his injury.

Other than him, the list is all healthy scratches for Sunday's game: Tyler Bray, Jaye Howard, Nico Johnson, Eric Kush, Bradley McDougald and Rokevious Watkins.
