Adrian Tracy signs with Cardinals

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(1/9/2014) Pass rusher Adrian Tracy has signed a future deal with the Cardinals.

Tracy played 16 games with the Giants in 2012. He was cut near the end of the preseason in 2013. The Cardinals plan on using Tracy as a linebacker.

David Carr driven out of New York by Giants

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/31/2013) The Giants have announced that they have waived quarterback David Carr, once a stalwart starter in Houston. Carr started for the Texans every year from 2002 to 2006 and led the league in completion percentage in the last of those seasons. But his record with the team was a meager 23-56. He played in 18 games with the Giants, but none as a starter.

The following players have also been cut by the Giants: defensive ends Adrian Tracy, Adewale Ojomo and Matt Broha, defensive tackle Marvin Austin, linebacker Kyle Bosworth, offensive linemen Eric Herman, Matt McCants, Stephen Goodin and Bryant Browning, safety David Caldwell, cornerbacks Terrence Frederick and Charles James, and wide receivers Kevin Hardy, Marcus Harris and Julian Talley.

The Giants also terminated the contract of running back Ryan Torain and waived safety Tyler Sash with an injury settlement.

Giants evaluating backup defensive linemen

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(7/14/2013) The Giants will be able to evaluate some of their younger defensive linemen in training camp due to the departure of Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul being sidelined by injury. Though, rookie Damontre Moore and Adrian Tracy are two players already impressing defensive line coach Robert Nunn, according to ESPN.

"Damontre has come in and has shown flash in some good things," Nunn said during OTAs. "He has a long way to go -- a lot to learn in a short time.

"I'm really pleased with the way Adrian Tracy [has progressed]. He is further along right now than he has ever been in his career at this time. He has got to keep moving forward and come in here in great shape, which I know he will. He has proven, as a special teams player, that he has got to go out there and be consistent playing the run and pass on Sundays on defense."

Giants cut down to 53

(9/3/2011) The Giants released several players on the way to the final 53 for the active roster. Among the players cut were LB Phillip Dillard, LB Adrian Tracy, QB Ryan Perrilloux, RB Andre Brown and Charles Scott, TE Christian Hopkins, WR Darius Reynaud, DEs Ayanga Okpokowuruk, Craig Marshall, Alex Hall and Justin Trattou and Dwayne Hendricks and DBs Joe Burnett, David Sims and Jerrard Tarrant. TE Daniel Coats, DT Gabe Watson and K Rhys Lloyd.

Healthy Tracy can compete for job

(8/3/2011) Giants second-year LB Adrian Tracy was still new to the position when he was placed on IR with an elbow injury last year, and he is back in 2011. “I think he definitely is (further along),” coach Tom Coughlin said. “He’s done fine. The learning has been good.” Tracy -- a converted defensive end -- could compete for the starting strongside spot with LB Clint Sintim.

Tracy placed on IR

(8/31/2010) The Giants placed LB Adrian Tracy on IR Tuesday, one day after he underwent elbow surgery.

Tracy could miss 2-3 weeks

(8/29/2010) Giants LB Adrian Tracy is having an MRI on his dislocated elbow. He could miss 2-3 weeks, as reported on Sunday.

Giants sign rookie Tracy

(6/22/2010) The Newark Star-Ledger reports the Giants signed LB Adrian Tracy, a rookie from William & Mary, who played DE in college. Tracy was the 184th overall pick in April's draft.

Giants draft DE Tracy
