(10/19/2014) The Raiders will have Benson Mayowa and Sio Moore Week 7 against the Cardinals.

Both players were listed as probable coming into the contest. Mayowa is dealing with a knee issue. Moore will fight through an ankle injury. 


Key Raiders Tuck, Reece deemed questionable for Week 7

(10/17/2014) Defensive end Justin Tuck (knee) and fullback Marcel Reece (quad) have been designated as questionable by the Raiders for their Sunday game against Arizona.

The other questionable player is linebacker Khalif Barnes (quad).

Those three are in better shape than wideout Vincent Brown (hamstring), cornerback Keith McGill (groin) and free safety Usama Young (foot), all of whom have been ruled out.

The trio of probables is headlined by quarterback Derek Carr, who is all but certain to play despite ankle and knee issues. Defensive end Benson Mayowa (knee) and linebacker Sio Moore (ankle) are also probable.

Vincent Brown, Sio Moore and Marcel Reece will all be game-time decision heading into the contest. Brown has a hamstring injury. Moore is dealing with an ankle issue, while Reece has a quad injury.


Sio Moore returns to practice Wednesday

(10/8/2014) Raiders linebacker Sio Moore practiced Wednesday for the first time since injuring his ankle Sept. 13, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.

"I thought Sio looked good for his first day," interim head coach Tony Sparano said. "We were careful with him. We’ll see how tomorrow goes, but we’re happy that he’s working his way back in."

The Raiders lost two linebackers to the injured reserve this week but appear to be on track to get a boost at the position with the potential return of Moore in Week 6.

(9/26/2014) The Raiders have announced their injury report for the Sunday game in London against Miami. As expected, linebacker Sio Moore (ankle), quarterback Matt Schaub (non-injury related) and wide receiver Rod Streater (foot) have all been ruled out.

Linebackers Miles Burris (foot) and Nick Roach (concussion) and cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (knee) are questionable while tackle Matt McCants (knee) and running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) are probable.

(9/24/2014) With Miles Burris (foot), Sio Moore (ankle) and Nick Roach (concussion) all recovering from injuries, the Raiders might have to start Kaluka Maiava and Bojay Filimoeatu at linebacker alongside Khalil Mack during Sunday's game against the Dolphins, according to CSNBayArea.com.

"We’ll continue to monitor that situation, but I’m hopeful that one or maybe two of (the injured players) could be ready," head coach Dennis Allen said. "We’ll just have to see how the week goes."

(9/21/2014) In addition to linebacker Sio Moore, who was already ruled out for the contest with an ankle injury, the Raiders' list of inactives for Week 3 at New England includes running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hand), defensive back Chimdi Chekwa (knee),  offensive lineman Matt McCants (knee), linebacker Nick Roach (concussion), quarterback Matt Schaub and offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom. Schaub and Bergstrom are both healthy scratches.

(9/19/2014) The Raiders have nine players listed on the injury report for Week 3. Linebacker Sio Moore, who's nursing an ankle injury, was the only player ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Deemed questionable are cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (knee). running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hand), tackle Matt McCants (knee), linebacker Nick Roach (concussion), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee), defensive lineman Antonio Smith (back) and wide receiver Rod Streater (hip).

Justin Tuck, who is dealing with an illness, was the only player ruled probable for Sunday.


Sio Moore set for ankle MRI

(8/26/2014) Raiders linebacker Sio Moore was a limited participant in practice Tuesday, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.

"He moved around some out there," head coach Dennis Allen said. "He's still not 100 percent, but we felt like the best thing for him to do was get out and move around a little bit. He stayed out of contact, but he went through some individual drills to begin to get some movement back."

Moore suffered a neck strain in Friday's preseason game.


Sio Moore stretchered off field after helmet-to-helmet collision

(8/22/2014) Raiders linebacker Sio Moore was carted off with a neck injury Friday night against the Packers in exhibition play. Moore was seen moving his arms and legs after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and gave the crowd a thumbs up while leaving the field. He was taken to the hospital where his X-rays came back negative, per the Bay Area News Group.

(11/11/2013) Standout games are becoming the norm lately for Raiders linebacker Sio Moore. The rookie from Connecticut had another strong performance Week 10 at N.Y. Giants, totaling a career-high 10 tackles (eight solo) and one sack.

Moore now has 3 1/2 sacks and 22 tackles in his last four games.
