Seven Bears to sit out third preseason game

(8/22/2014) The following players will not suit up for the Bears Friday night against the Seahawks in preseason action: wide receiver Chris Williams, wide receiver C.J. Wilson, cornerback Kyle Fuller, cornerback Isaiah Frey, offensive lineman Eben Britton, center Brian De La Puente, tackle Jordan Mills, defensive end Jared Allen.

(8/18/2014) Bears offensive tackle Jordan Mills has shed his walking boot, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"My foot is doing great," he said. "I’m taking it day by day. I should be back soon, hopefully next week."

Mills underwent surgery in January to repair a fractured metatarsal. he will not play in Friday's game against the Seahawks.

(5/6/2014) Bears right tackle Jordan Mills broke his foot in pregame warmups Week 17 and still started against the Packers, offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer told reporters. Mills had surgery in January and is expected to participate in OTAs late this month.

The rookie started every game for the club this season, but injured his foot in the season finale against Green Bay. Mills played a key role in the team's turnaround on the offensive line.

Mills was injured early in the game, and ruled out before half time. It's unclear if the injury will keep Mills from participating in the team's offseason program. Mills started all 16 games during his rookie season.

McClellin, Mills and Mannelly were all able to fully participate in practice Thursday. Frey was limited due to a hand injury.
