by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/26/2014) Probables dominate the injury report released Friday by the Eagles for their game Sunday in San Francisco.

Among those with that designation are defensive ends Fletcher Cox (back) and Brandon Bair (foot), cornerbacks Jaylen Watkins (hamstring) and Brandon Boykin (hip), tight end James Casey (knee), wide receivers Brad Smith (groin) and Jordan Matthews (oblique), tackle Matt Tobin (ankle) and safety Earl Wolff (knee).

Center Jason Kelce (hernia) and linebacker Mychal Kendricks (calf) will not play. Wideout Josh Huff (shoulder) is questionable.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/21/2014) Among the six players on the injury report for the Eagles defense in Week 3 against Washington, only defensive back Earl Wolff (knee) was forced to sit out.

Defensive lineman Fletcher Cox (back) is in uniform, along with defensive backs Cary Williams (hamstring), Jaylen Watkins (hamstring), Malcolm Jenkins (shoulder) and Nolan Carroll (elbow).

Eagles rule out just one on defense for Week 3

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/19/2014) The Eagles have seven players listed on the injury report for Week 3 against Washington from the defensive side of the ball, and the vast majority are expected to play.

Among the seven, only lineback Mychal Kendricks (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Defensive back Earl Wolff (knee) is also questionable, while defensive backs Cary Williams (hamstring), Jaylen Watkins (hamstring), Nolan Carroll (elbow) and Malcolm Jenkins (shoulder), along with defensive lineman Fletcher Cox (back) are all probable for Week 3.

Eagles DST generates a couple turnovers

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/16/2014) The Eagles DST forced two turnovers but got no sacks in Monday's 30-27 win in Indianapolis. Philly allowed the Colts' formerly dormant rushing game to pile up 169 yards on the ground.

Defensive end Fletcher Cox jarred the ball loose from running back Trent Richardson in the third quarter, linebacker DeMeco Ryans recovering. Safety Malcolm Jenkins intercepted Andrew Luck in the fourth quarter on a controversial play. Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton was clearly held on his route, leading to the pick.

Ryans finished with a game-high 10 tackles and one of the Eagles' three quarterback hits.

After failing to stop Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw, the Eagles DST will be hard-pressed to stop Redskins running back Alfred Morris in Week 3.

Eagles defense burned early, stout late

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/7/2014) The Eagles defense looked awful in the first half of their Week 1 game agains the Jaguars, allowing 17 points to the Chad Henne-led offense. But they tightened up in the second half and held Jacksonville scoreless and even saw Fletcher Cox score on a Henne fumble to help salt the game away. The Eagles totaled three sacks with the fumble while holding the Jags to 306 total yards.

Chances are the Eagles will have their hands full with a tougher opponent -- the Colts -- in Indianapolis next week.

(10/27/2013) Eagles defensive lineman Fletcher Cox totaled four tackles (three solo) and one sack Week 8 vs. N.Y. Giants. Cox had his first sack in five games and has three sacks in eight games.

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/6/2013) Eagles cornerback Brandon Boykin (shoulder) and defensive end Fletcher Cox (quadricep) were cleared to play Week 5 at N.Y. Giants after being listed as probable on the injury report.

Boykin has been dealing with a shoudler injury, and was limited early in the week during practice. Cox has a quadriceps injury.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
