News: The Eagles placed WR Steve Smith on injured reserve Monday because of a knee injury. DL Cedric Thornton was promoted to the 53-man roster to take Smith's roster spot.
Analysis: Thornton will provide DL depth for the Eagles, but he isn't expected to play a prominent role. Leave him on Fantasy waivers.
