Patriots QB Tom Brady ready to go Week 8

(10/26/2014) Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is active Week 8 against the the Bears.

Brady was listed as probable on the team's injury report due to an ankle injury. The team will also have Brandon Browner , Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower and Devin McCourty for the contest. All four players were also considered probable coming into the game.


Patriots add Vereen to final injury report for Chicago game

(10/24/2014) The Patriots listed 13 players on their final injury report for their Week 8 home game against Chicago. Chandler Jones (hip) is the only player on the list to be ruled out for the game.

Shane Vereen was a late addition to the report because of an illness. He missed practice Friday and was labeled questionable. Dan Connolly (concussion), Dominique Easley (shoulder, knee), Nate Ebner (finger), Cameron Fleming (finger), Matthew Slater (shoulder) and Bryan Stork (concussion) were deemed questionable.

Meanwhile, Tom Brady (ankle), Brandon Browner (ankle), Jamie Collins (thigh), Dont'a Hightower (knee) and Devin McCourty (rib) were all full participants in Friday's practice session and officially ruled probable for Sunday.


Patriots to have a fair amount of their questionable players

(10/16/2014) The Patriots should have a fair amount of players listed as questionable on the injury report.

Brandon Browner , Jamie Collins, Dominique Easley, Dont'a Hightower and Matthew Slater are all active for the contest. All five players were listed as questionable coming into the game.

The team will also have Chandler Jones and Devin McCourty. Both Jones and McCourty were listed as probable on the team's injury report.

(10/15/2014) The Patriots declared seven players questionable for Thursday's game against the Jets: cornerback Brandon Browner (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), offensive lineman Dan Connolly (concussion), defensive lineman Dominique Easley (shoulder/knee), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), wideout Matthew Slater (shoulder) and offensive lineman Bryan Stork (concussion).

In addition, defensive back Devin McCourty (rib) and defensive end Chandler Jones (shoulder) are probable.

(10/10/2014) Tom Brady was among the notable players on the final injury for the Patriots on Friday, leading up to their Week 6 divisional showdown at Buffalo. Brady suffered an ankle injury in practice and was ruled questionable.

Cornerback Brandon Browner (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), defensive lineman Dominique Easley (shoulder, knee), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), wide receiver Matthew Slater (shoulder) and center Bryan Stork (concussion) were all labeled questionable.

Defensive end Chandler Jones (shoulder) and safety Devin McCourty (rib) were ruled probable. Safety Nate Ebner (finger) and offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger) were officially ruled out for Sunday.

(9/27/2014) The Patriots have listed six players as probable for Week 4 on the team's final injury report Saturday, including tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee), defensive lineman Michael Buchanan (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), offensive lineman Dan Connolly (foot), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder) and safety Don Jones (hamstring).

All six players were limited in practice Saturday, but all have designated as probable to play. Gronkowski played in more than 50 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 3 for the first time this season and should continue to see his workload increase.

Collins had eight solo tackles in the loss, as he finished second on the team. He added a pass defense and a forced fumble as well.

(7/14/2014) Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins was brought along slowly as a rookie, but is now in position to become "a rare three-down player" in the team's system, reports ESPN.com. Collins had an interception, a sack and six tackles in the playoff win over the Colts following a regular season in which he made 43 tackles and broke up four passes.

Expectations have been raised, the website said, and Collins has "star potential."

(4/26/2013) After trading out of the first round on Thursday night, the Patriots used their first of two picks in the second round to select Southern Mississippi linebacker Jamie Collins. Collins, 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, was productive during his four-year career with the Golden Eagles, and he capped it off with a terrific senior season. He posted 92 tackles, 10 sacks and five pass break ups in 2012.
