Shaun Prater suffers mild concussion Saturday

(8/17/2014) Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said after Saturday's game that cornerback Shaun Prater suffered a mild concussion, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The team announced during the game that Prater left with a head injury and would not return. He'll have to clear concussion protocol before being allowed back on the field.

(8/16/2014) Vikings defensive back Shuan Prater will not return to Saturday's preseason game due to a head injury, the team announced.

Prater made just one tackle on special teams before being injured. He will have to pass concussion protocol before being allowed back on the field if the injury was concussion related.


Two Vikings questionable Week 17

Both players are dealing with ankle injuries. Prater was limited in practice Friday. Rhodes was limited throughout the week.

(10/13/2013) The Philadelphia Eagles are fairly healthy heading into the Week 6 game Sunday at Tampa Bay. Almost all of the Eagles' listed inactive players are healthy scratches and are not dealing with any discernible injuries.

Those healthy scratches are as follows: OL Matt Tobin; OL Dennis Kelly; CB Jordan Poyer; CB Shaun Prater; DE Damion Square; and TE Emil Igwenagu.

Dennis Roland among many cuts by Bengals

(8/31/2013) The Bengals have announced that veteran offensive lineman Dennis Roland, who started 24 games for them in 2009 and 2010, has been waived.

The move was one of many cuts by the team on Saturday. The following players have also been released: wide receivers Cobi Hamilton, Taveon Rogers and Roy Roundtree, linebackers Bruce Taylor and J.K. Schaffer, cornerbacks Chris Lewis-Harris, Onterio McCalebb and Shaun Prater, offensive tackle Reid Fragel, safety Tony Dye, halfback Dan Herron, center T.J. Johnson, defensive end Dontay Moch, quarterback John Skelton, defensive tackle Terrence Stephens and guard John Sullen.

The Bengals also placed running back Bernard Scott (knee) on the Reserve/PUP list and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) on the Reserve/Injured list.
