(4/7/2014) The Saints matched the Falcons' offer sheet for restricted free agent safety Rafael Bush, so he'll stay with New Orleans on a two-year, $4.5 million deal, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Bush is dealing with an ankle injury, and is probable. He was a full participant in practice Friday. Dawson has a calf injury, and did not practice Friday.

(1/1/2014) Saints safety Rafael Bush missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury. Bush was able to play Week 17 despite missing practice last week.

He has 42 tackles, five passed defended and a fumble recovery in 13 games.

(12/27/2013) Saints TE Josh Hill, RB Pierre Thomas, S Rafael Bush, LB Keyunta Dawson, LB Kevin Reddick, T Terron Armstead and G Jahri Evans are probable Week 17. 

All seven were able to get through full practice Friday. Thomas is dealing with an eye injury, but should play.

(12/22/2013) The Saints have listed DE Tom Johnson, OLB Keyunta Dawson, S Rafael Bush, RB Travaris Cadet, WR Nick Toon, TE Josh Hill and QB Ryan Griffin as inactive Week 16 against the Panthers.

Cadet was listed as probable on the team's injury report entering the game, but will not go. Dawson and Hill were questionable. Bush was listed as doubtful.

(12/15/2013) Safety Rafael Bush (ankle), tight end Josh Hill (hamstring) and linebacker Keyunta Dawson (calf) are the lone injured players on the inactive list released Sunday by the Saints.

The healthy inactives are quarterback Ryan Griffin, wideout Nick Toon, cornerback Trevin Wade and defensive end Tyrunn Walker.

Bush, Dawson and Hill were unable to participate in practices throughout the week. Bunkley and Foster were able to practice in full Friday.

Bunkley and Strief were able to participate in limited practice Friday. Bush, Dawson and Foster did not practice Friday.

(10/14/2013) Saints safety Rafael Bush turned in a solid performance during Sunday's loss to the Patriots in Week 6.

Bush finished with 11 tackles (nine solo) in a 30-27 defeat. He has 25 tackles on the year.


Saints get defensive contributions

(10/1/2013) The Saints got several big contributions defensively in their blowout of the Dolphins. Safety Malcolm Jenkins led the team with seven tackles, one for loss, and safety Rafael Bush had five tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass defended.

Linebackers Junior Galette and Martez Wilson and defensive end Tyrunn Walker each sacked Ryan Tannehill.


Saints DST feasts on four turnovers

(10/1/2013) The Saints DST has forced 10 turnovers after getting four more in Monday's blowout of Miami. Corners Jabari Greer and Chris Carr and linebacker Will Herring intercepted Ryan Tannehill, and linebacker Curtis Lofton stripped Tannehill with safety Rafael Bush recovering.

Playing with a lead throughout, New Orleans sacked Tannehill four times. Defensive end Cameron Jordan had a sack and three quarterback hits, and linebacker Junior Galette added a sack and two quarterback hits.

The aggressive Saints DST visits turnover-prone quarterback Jay Cutler and the Bears in Week 5.
