Tony Romo among active Cowboys probables in Week 14

(12/4/2014) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (back) is active for Thursday night's Week 14 matchup with the Bears.

Romo was fully expected to suit up and play after being listed as probable on the team's final Week 14 injury report Tuesday. The Cowboys' other probables are also active Thursday, including wide receiver Terrance Williams (finger), defensive ends George Selvie (thumb) and Tyrone Crawford (knee), defensive tackle Nick Hayden (shoulder), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee) and offensive tackles Tyron Smith (illness) and Doug Free (foot).

(11/27/2014) Several Cowboys who were probable on the injury report are active for the game against the Eagles. The list includes right tackle Doug Free (foot), defensive end Tyrone Crawford (knee), defensive tackle Nick Hayden (shoulder) and linebacker Rolando McClain (knee).

(11/26/2014) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is probable heading into Thursday's game against the Eagles.

Romo was listed with a back injury, but was able to practice in full on both Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Josh Brent, Tyrone Crawford, Doug Free, Nick Hayden, Rolando McClain and Terrance Williams were also listed as probable, and should play.

The team did not list any players as questionable, though Jeff Heath was listed as doubtful.

Jack Crawford, Tyler Patmon and Dekoda Watson were all ruled out prior to Thursday. 


Cowboys list Week 12 inactives vs. Giants

(11/23/2014) The Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 12 matchup with the Giants: cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), defensive tackles Josh Brent (groin) and Terrell McClain, offensive tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins, safety Jakar Hamilton and quarterback Dustin Vaughan.

Patmon had previously been ruled out of Week 12 action, while Brent had been listed as probable. Five other probables are active for the Cowboys, including quarterback Tony Romo (back), offensive tackle Doug Free (foot), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive tackle Nick Hayden (shoulder) and defensive end Tyrone Crawford (knee).


Cowboys healthy heading into Sunday clash against Giants

(11/21/2014) All but defensive back Tyler Patmon appear ready to roll for the Cowboys when they play the Giants on Sunday night. He has been ruled out with knee and ankle issues.

The rest of those on their Friday injury report are probable, including quarterback Tony Romo (back) and linebacker Rolando McClain (knee). The others are defensive tackles Tyrone Crawford (knee) and Nick Hayden (shoulder) and offensive tackle Doug Free (foot).

(11/13/2014) Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford, who missed the Week 10 game against Jacksonville with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee, plans on returning when the team plays the Giants on Nov. 23.

The team is currently on its bye week.

"It's all right," Crawford told the Dallas Morning News. "I'm feeling a lot better."

Crawford had started every previous game this season and had contributed to 20 tackles.

The healthy scratches are quarterback Dustin Vaughan, defensive back Jakar Hamilton , defensive tackle Davon Coleman, tackles Donald Hawkins and Tony Hills and linebacker Tim Dobbins.

(11/7/2014) The Cowboys have unveiled its final injury report for Sunday's clash in London against Jacksonville. Tyrone Crawford (knee) was the only player on the list ruled out for the game. Nick Hayden (shoulder) and Rolando McClain (knee, groin) were deemed questionable.

Tony Romo (back), arguably the most notable name on the report, practiced in full Friday and was ruled probable for Sunday. The following players also received the green light and were labeled probable: Bruce Carter (finger), Barry Church (shoulder), Jack Crawford (calf), Doug Free (foot), Jack Hanna (hamstring), Anthony Hitchens (chest), Ronald Leary (groin), Jermey Parnell (chest) and Anthony Spencer (knee, foot).

(11/4/2014) Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford said he suffered a sprained MCL Sunday against the Cardinals, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He said he is feeling better and hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London, but he is a long shot to play.

(11/3/2014) Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford suffered strained MCLs in the Week 9 loss to Arizona, but both are headed to London in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars, reports the Dallas Morning News. The paper said both players had MRI exams Monday.

It's unclear if McClain or Crawford will play. McClain ranks third on the team with 44 tackles. Crawford is tied for second on the team with three tackles for loss.

(10/15/2014) The Cowboys' Tyrone Crawford started the season as an edge rusher but has found a home at defensive tackle, reports the Dallas Morning News. Crawford leads the team with 15 quarterback pressures, though he's still looking for his first career sack.

Crawford, who's started the past three games inside, has 10 tackles this year after missing last season with an Achilles injury.

He'll push George Selvie for the starting job. In 2012, Crawford made 20 tackles while appearing in every game.

Crawford had 20 tackles in the 16 games he played in 2012. The Achilles injury sidelined him for all of 2013.

(7/22/2013) The Cowboys lost defensive end Tyrone Crawford to a season-ending Achilles injury Sunday. Crawford fell to the ground during slalom drills against tackling dummies and immediately yelled out about his Achilles.

Crawford, a 2012 third-round pick, played all 16 games as a rookie last season, recording 20 tackles. He was expected to be Anthony Spencer's backup in 2013.

(6/21/2013) Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford is headed for an expanded role in his second season, reports ESPN.

Crawford is expected to back up Anthony Spencer at defensive end and could also get playing time at both interior spots. The report says there has been "a lot of good buzz" in Dallas this offseason about Crawford, who is a 285-pound physical specimen.


Claiborne highlights Dallas' draft


(5/7/2012) The Cowboys moved up and took LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne with the sixth overall pick in the draft, but he wasn't their only defensive pick. The Cowboys also picked up Boise State defensive end Tyrone Crawford, Wake Forest linebacker Kyle Wilber, Eastern Washington safety Matt Johnson and Montana linebacker Caleb McSurdy. Wilber led the Demon Deacons in sacks the last two seasons and could get some time to rush the passer this season. Johnson's a raw project-type player, McSurdy was the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year who can smack defenders and Crawford has some potential as a 3-4 defensive lineman.
