RB Matt Asiata, WR Greg Jennings among Vikes ready to go

(12/28/2014) Vikings running back Matt Asiata (foot) and wideout Greg Jennings (hamstring) are active for the game against Chicago after being listed as probable. They're among a slew of probables suiting up for Minnesota.

The list includes safety Robert Blanton (ankle), safety Antone Exum (knee), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee), tight end Chase Ford (foot), offensive tackle Michael Harris (foot), guard Charlie Johnson (ankle) and safety Andrew Sendejo (thumb). Wideout Jarius Wright is active after being questionable with a back injury.


Chad Greenway, Kyle Rudolph questionable for Vikings in Week 17

(12/26/2014) Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway (knee) and tight end Kyle Rudolph (ankle) are listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Bears. Greenway was unable to practice all week while Rudolph only practiced Friday on a limited basis. 

Wide receiver Jarius Wright (back) is also listed as questionable.

Rookie linebacker Anthony Barr (knee) and Brandon Watts (hamstring) have been ruled out. 

Guard Charlie Johnson (ankle), Greg Jennings (hamstring), Antone Exum (knee), Mike Harris (foot), Chase Ford (foot), Robert Blanton (ankle), Andrew Sendejo (thumb), Sharrif Floyd (knee) and Matt Asiata (foot) are all listed as probable.

The Vikings are currently 6-point favorites against Chicago Sunday.


Vikings list final injury report for Miami game

(12/19/2014) The Vikings have ruled out linebacker Anthony Barr (knee) and guard Charlie Johnson (ankle) out for Sunday's contest against Miami, per the team's final injury report. Tight end Kyle Rudolph (ankle, knee) was deemed as doubtful, while safety Robert Blanton (ankle, knee) was deemed as questionable.

Meanwhile, running back Matt Asiata (foot), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee), linebacker Chad Greenway (non-injury related), wide receiver Greg Jennings (hamstring), safety Andrew Sendejo (thumb), defensive end Brian Robison (ankle), defensive tackle Linval Joseph (illness) and cornerback Xavier Rhodes (wrist).


Vikings backup rushers manage little Week 11

(11/16/2014) The Vikings backup rushers didn't do much Week 11 against the Bears.

Free safety Andrew Sendejo actually did make a difference, leading the team in rushing. He gained 48 yards on a fake punt. It was his only rush of the game. 

Jerome Felton got one carry, gaining 3 yards. Matt Asiata also had one carry, but gained 2 yards. Asiata also had three receptions for 12 yards.

They'll look for more Week 12 against the Packers. 


Vikes activate Andrew Sendejo

(8/4/2014) The Vikings activated free safety Andrew Sendejo from the PUP list. He had been out with lower back and ankle injuries since the start of the offseason program, reports ESPN.com.

Sendejo started 10 games last year and finished with 84 tackles and an interception.


As camp opens, Vikings make moves

(7/25/2014) On Friday the Vikings made a flurry of moves as they kicked their training camp season into high gear. They signed receivers Andy Cruse and Ty Walker and waived receiver Josh Cooper and offensive tackle Matt Hall. They also placed tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and safety Andrew Sendejo on the PUP list.

(12/9/2013) Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo picked up his first career interception during a 29-26 loss Week 14 at Baltimore. He finished with three tackles (one solo) and three pass defenses.

Sendejo has totaled 73 tackles (44 solo) through 13 games.

Dean and Sanford were the only two players not listed as probable.

Seven Vikings ready to go

(12/6/2013) Vikings DE Jared Allen, RB Matt Asiata, DT Fred Evans, DT Sharrif Floyd, LB Chad Greenway, DE Everson Griffen and S Andrew Sendejo are probable Week 14 against the Ravens.

Allen has been limited by a finger injury, but was able to get through a full practice Friday. The other six players were also full participants in practice Friday.

(12/2/2013) Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo tied linebacker Chad Greenway for the team lead with 10 tackles (five solo) during a 23-20 overtime win Week 13 vs. Chicago. It was the third time in four games Sendejo had at least 10 tackles. 

Sendejo has a career-high 70 tackles (43 solo) through 12 games.

(11/29/2013) The Vikings feature a lengthy list of injured defenders on the injury report for Week 13, but they expect to have the majority of them available this Sunday against the Bears. Among the seven defenders listed, only Josh Robinson (chest) is expected to be sidelined.

Defensive backs Xavier Rhodes (groin) and Andrew Sendejo (foot), linebacker Chad Greenway (wrist) and defensive linemen Brian Robison (illness), Fred Evans (knee) and Kevin Williams (quadriceps) are all listed as officially probable for Sunday's game. 


Andrew Sendejo does it again

(11/18/2013) Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo registered double-digit tackles for the second straight game, making 11 stops in the loss at Seattle. Sendejo had six solo stops and one tackle for loss.

After making 27 total tackles the past two weeks, he'll visit Green Bay in Week 12.


Three Vikings combine for 46 tackles

(11/8/2013) The Vikings had three monstrous tackling performances during the Week 10 Thursday night win over the Redskins. Linebacker Chad Greenway and safety Andrew Sendejo each had 16 tackles and linebacker Erin Henderson added 14 for the Minnesota defense. 

Greenway had five solo tackles in the game and eight of Sendejo's tackles were of the solo variety. Henderson had four solo stops and added a pass defended. 

The 30-year-old Greenway has 80 tackles on the season after this performance. Sendejo is up to 44 and Henderson now has 87 and is among the league leaders.
