Raiders make several roster moves Wednesday

(11/26/2014) The Raiders have made a flurry of moves, including the placing of tight end David Ausberry on the reserve/injured list with a foot injury sustained on Oct. 19. His place on the roster will be taken by defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, who was promoted from the practice squad.

Ausberry finishes the year with just two catches for 14 yards in six games.

Cornerback Jansen Watson, who was cut by Oakland before the season, has been added to the practice squad.


Raiders list inactives for Week 12 vs. Chiefs

(11/20/2014) The Raiders have listed the following players as inactive for Thursday night's matchup with the Chiefs: cornerbacks Carlos Rogers (knee) and T.J. Carrie (ankle), safety Jonathan Dowling (back), tight end David Ausberry (foot), guards Gabe Jackson (knee) and Tony Bergstrom and quarterback Matt McGloin.

Jackson was listed as questionable to play in the Week 12 divisional battle, while Rogers, Carrie, Dowling and Ausberry had previously been ruled out. The 0-10 Raiders are looking to end a 16-game losing streak Thursday.

Ausberry, Rogers and Dowling were all previously ruled out for Sunday's game, so their absence isn't a surprise. The Raiders had two players listed as questionable, but both Justin Tuck (neck) and T,J, Carrie (ankle) are active. Also active are the team's five probables, including tackles Khalif Barnes (quad) and Menelik Watson (concussion), running back Jamize Olawale (shoulder, hamstring) and cornerbacks D.J. Hayden (groin) and Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring).

(11/2/2014) The Raiders have listed QB Matt McGloin, WR Vincent Brown, CB Carlos Rogers, CB Chimdi Chekwa, CB Keith McGill, G Tony Bergstrom and TE David Ausberry as inactive Week 9 against the Seahawks. 

Brown, Chekwa, McGill and Ausberry had been ruled out prior to Sunday and were not expected to play. Rogers came into the game considered doubtful due to a knee injury.

(10/31/2014) The Raiders have listed 10 players on it final injury report and have ruled four of them out for Sunday's clash against the Seahawks. David Ausberry (foot), Vincent Brown (hamstring), Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring) and Keith McGill were ruled out for Week 9. Carlos Rogers (knee) is the only player deemed doubtful, while the other five were ruled probable.

(10/26/2014) Wideout Vincent Brown (hamstring) is the most notable player among the Raiders inactives released for the Sunday game in Cleveland. Also hurt and out are cornerback Keith McGill (groin) and tight end David Ausberry (foot).

The healthy scratches are quarterback Matt McGloin, linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu and offensive linemen Matt McCants and Tony Bergstrom.

The team ruled out the following players for Sunday: tight end David Ausberry (foot), wide receiver Vincent Brown (hamstring), cornerback Keith McGill (groin), defensive end LaMarr Woodley (bicep) and safety Usama Young (knee).

Deemed questionable were offensive lineman Khalif Barnes (quadriceps), fullback Marcel Reece (quadriceps), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee) and defensive end Justin Tuck (knee). Guard Austin Howard (neck) was the only player on the list deemed probable.


Report: Raiders TE David Ausberry dealing with foot injury

(10/22/2014) Raiders tight end David Ausberry has a foot injury that could cost him significant time, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Ausberry played just one snap on offense in Week 7, but he was spotted heading to the locker room with a trainer during the game. He has caught two passes for 14 yards this season.


Raiders receive minor contributions from role players Week 4

(9/28/2014) The Raiders received minor contributions from several role players in a Week 4 loss to Miami in London.

Brice Butler caught three of his four targets for 22 yards. Tight ends David Ausberry and Mychal Rivera were each limited to two grabs on the night. Ausberry had 14 yards while Rivera posted 10 yards. Fullback Marcel Reece was limited to one grab for a gain of 5 yards. Meanwhile in the running game, Jamize Olawale took a handoff for no gain in a 38-14 defeat.

(9/11/2013) Oakland tight end David Ausberry was slated to start this season, but a shoulder injury sustained in the preseason still has him sidelined. He again missed practice on Wednesday. Ausberry, however, does seem to be making progress. He has ditched the sling he was wearing last week to protect his injured shoulder, according to the Contra Costa Times.

The Raiders received decent production from fellow tight ends Jeron Mastrud and Mychal Rivera in their loss Sunday at Indianapolis. They combined for three catches for 67 yards.
