News: The Jaguars continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: quarterback Jordan Palmer; tight end Colin Cloherty; running back Richard Murphy; defensive backs Rod Issac and Trumaine McBride; linebacker J.K. Schaffer; and defensive lineman Odrick Ray.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.

News: The Jaguars placed DB Rod Issac on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. He is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Issac was not a viable IDP option prior to being placed on IR. He should not be owned in any format.
News: The Jaguars selected Middle Tennessee State cornerback Rod Issac in the fifth round of the NFL draft. The Jaguars chose the 5-foot-11, 196-pound Issac with the 147th pick in the draft. Issac had 54 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles as a senior last season, and was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team.
Analysis: Jacksonville player personnel director Terry McDonough says Issac will play next season, but he'll have to beat out Will Middleton at the nickel cornerback position. Regardless, he shouldn't end up being a factor in Fantasy play.
