49ers' Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree active vs. Chargers

(12/20/2014) 49ers running back Frank Gore (concussion) and wide receiver Michael Crabtree (knee) are active for Saturday's Week 16 matchup with the Chargers.

Both players were listed as questionable on the team's final injury report, though it was reported early Saturday that Gore would in fact suit up for the game. Crabtree has yet to miss a game this season.

Offensive tackle Anthony Davis (concussion) is also active after being listed as questionable. The team had several players listed as probable and all are active Saturday, including cornerbacks Perrish Cox (ankle) and Chris Culliver (knee), safety Bubba Ventrone (groin), linebacker Michael Wilhoite (hip), tackle Jonathan Martin (illness), center Marcus Martin (knee), tight end Kyle Nelson (back) and defensive linemen Justin Smith (back), Quinton Dial (knee) and Tony Jerod-Eddie (foot).


49ers unveil lengthy injury report for Saturday game

(12/19/2014) The 49ers have ruled the following players out for Saturday's game against San Diego: Linebacker Chris Borland (ankle), cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), running back Carlos Hyde (ankle), wide receiver Stevie Johnson (knee).

Linebacker Ahmad Brooks (thumb), wide receiver Michael Crabtree (knee), right tackle Anthony Davis (concussion), running back Frank Gore (concussion), safety Raymond Vetrone (groin) and linebacker Michael Wilhoite (hip) were labeled as questionable.

Meanwhile, cornerback Perrish Cox (ankle), cornerback Chris Culliver (knee), defensive tackle Quinton Dial (knee), defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie (foot), right tackle Jonathan Martin (illness), center Marcus Martin (knee), long snapper Kyle Nelson (back) and defensive end Justin Smith (back) were all deemed as probable.

(11/7/2014) 49ers running back Frank Gore (hip) and nose tackle Ian Williams (shin) were the only players labeled probable for Sunday's clash against the Saints in Week 10.

Tramaine Brock (toe), Brandon Lloyd (hamstring) and Quinton Dial (eye) were all limited participants in Friday's practice and ruled questionable. Dan Skuta (ankle) and Patrick Willis (toe) were unable to practice, but were still deemed questionable for Sunday.

(11/23/2013) The 49ers defense is in pretty good shape for Week 12 against the Redskins, despite the absence of defensive back Tarell Brown (ribs).

Defensive lineman Ray McDonald (ankle) is questionable after being unable to practice Saturday, but the rest of the defense should be fine for Monday's game. Linebacker Dan Skuta (foot) and defensive linemen Quinton Dial (ankle) and Justin Smith (shoulder) are probable for the game.

(11/15/2013) 49ers defensive lineman Justin Smith (shoulder) should be able to play in Week 11 against the Saints, as he is listed as probable on the injury report. He is joined on the report by defensive back Tarell Brown (knee) and defensive lineman Quinton Dial (ankle), both of whom are also probable.

Linebacker Dan Skuta (foot) and defensive back Eric Reid are also on the injury report from the defensive side of the ball, and are both considered questionable.


Week 10 Inactives indicate Niners getting healthier

(11/10/2013) Nearly all who were injured have been cleared to play Sunday by the 49ers against Carolina. The two exceptions on the inactive list, coincidentally, are both named Quinton. They are defensive lineman Quinton Dial (ankle) and wide receiver Quinton Patton (foot).

The healthy scratches are quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, defensive tackle Tank Carradine, guard Joe Looney, wide receiver Kassim Osgood and cornerback Eric Wright.

None of these players can return before Week 7 at Tennessee.
