Three Falcons play minimal role

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/15/2013) Falcons wide receiver Darius Johnson, running back Jason Snelling and fullback Patrick DiMarco all made small contributions Week 15 against the Redskins.

Johnson, who went without a catch last week at Green Bay, caught three passes for 19 yards. Snelling had one carry for no gain and one catch for 3 yards. DiMarco had one catch for 7 yards.

Falcons backup pass-catchers do little Week 13

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Falcons backup pass-catchers Darius Johnson, Levine Toilolo, Patrick DiMarco and Jason Snelling failed to do much Week 13 against the Bills.

Johnson played the largest role, catching two passes for 16 yards. He received four targets. Toilolo caught one pass for 12 yards. DiMarco also had one catch, but picked up just 5 yards. Snelling had one catch for 3 yards. They’ll take on the Packers Week 14.

Darius Johnson makes an impact in loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/22/2013) Little-used Falcons rookie receiver Darius Johnson had his best game as a professional Thursday, in a 17-13 loss to the Saints in Week 12.

Johnson nearly scored his second touchdown of the season in the loss, and it came on the team's first drive of the game. Johnson was initially awarded a 6-yard touchdown on a pass from Matt Ryan early in the first quarter, but a replay review overturned the call.

Johnson finished with six catches for 67 yards, finishing second on the team in both categories. He also had an untimely fumble late in the game, ended a drive deep in New Orleans territory in the fourth quarter, with the Falcons down four.

Johnson heads to Week 13 against the Bills looking to build on his performance. He has 16 catches for 171 yards through six games as an undrafted rookie.

Darius Johnson plays surprisingly big role

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/17/2013) Even with Roddy White back in the lineup for a second straight game, Falcons third-string wide receiver Darius Johnson still got plenty of looks in a blowout loss Week 11 at Tampa Bay. He had just two catches for 18 yards, but his seven targets were only two off the team lead.

Johnson had only two targets in each of his previous two games. He'll look to remain relevant Week 12 against the Saints.

Darius Johnson contributes first ever touchdown

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/10/2013) Falcons rookie wide receiver Darius Johnson, who got more playing time with Roddy White sidelined by hamstring and ankle injuries in Weeks 7-9, didn't make his biggest contribution until White returned Week 10 against the Seahawks. He had just one catch on two targets, but he made it count, scoring his first career touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Matt Ryan.

Johnson, who was on the practice squad for the first five games, now has eight catches for 86 yards this season.

Darius Johnson takes a step back

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/3/2013) Falcons rookie wide receiver Darius Johnson -- who was targeted nine times last Week at Arizona, catching four passes for 40 yards -- wasn't as productive Week 9 at Carolina. Even with Roddy White still sidelined by hamstring and ankle injuries, Johnson had just one catch for 10 yards. He was targeted twice.

The Falcons host the Seahawks in Week 10.

Darius Johnson emerges against Cardinals

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(10/27/2013) Falcons wide receiver Darius Johnson picked up 40 yards against the Cardinals Week 8.

Johnson was targeted nine times, which rated second on the team behind Harry Douglas. He caught four passes. Johnson will continue to see time with Roddy White sidelined with his injuries.

Johnson will take on the Panthers Week 9.

Drew Davis stands out over Darius Jonson, Brian Robiskie

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/20/2013) Falcons wide receiver Drew Davis, one of the many relative unknowns expected to get more work with Julio Jones out for the year, got only one target Week 7 against the Buccaneers, but he may have earned more with it, making a leaping, one-armed grab late in the third quarter that helped set up the team's final touchdown.

Darius Johnson played the most, but he finished with just two catches for 24 yards. Recently signed Brian Robiskie couldn't make good on his only target.
