Jets announce re-signing of two defensive backs

(3/6/2014) The Jets announced they have re-signed a pair of impending free agents Wednesday, inking defensive backs Ellis Lankster and Darrin Walls prior to their entrance to free agency.

Lankster spent most of the 2013 season on special teams, recording 20 tackles in kick coverage. Walls spent more of his time on defense, finishing with 24 tackles and five passes defended in 16 games.

(11/17/2013) Jets safety Antonio Allen (concussion), guard Willie Colon (calf), wide receiver Josh Cribbs (knee), cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip), defensive end Leger Douzable (illness), defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis (back), linebacker Calvin Pace (hip), wide receiver Greg Salas (knee), tight end Zach Sudfeld (knee), cornerback Darrin Walls (shoulder) and tight end Kellen Winslow (knee) were all cleared to play Week 11 at Buffalo. All 11 players were listed as probable.

(11/15/2013) The Jets will play without linebacker Garrett McIntyre on Sunday against Buffalo. He will be sidelined with a knee injury.

All the other defensive players on the Friday injury report are probable. They are safety Antonio Allen (concussion), cornerbacks Darrin Walls (shoulder) and Antonio Cromartie (hip), defensive tackles Leger Douzable (illness) and Kenrick Ellis (back) and linebacker Calvin Pace (hip).

Colon and Mangold were listed as questionable, while the rest of the players were probable.

(11/1/2013) The two Antonios that start in the secondary for the Jets should be ready to roll Sunday against New Orleans. Safety Antonio Allen (finger) and cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip) have both been designated as probable.

Other probables include defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis (back), linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee), tight end Konrad Reuland (knee), wide receiver Josh Cribbs (knee), cornerback Darrin Walls (shoulder) and guard Brian Winters (ankle).

Running back Alex Green (hamstring) is questionable.
