Victorian brought up by Pittsburgh

News: Pittsburgh waived quarterback Brian Hoyer on Saturday and promoted cornerback Josh Victorian from the practice squad.
Analysis: Victorian may see a tackle or two and some special teams work on Sunday. That said, he's not expected to impact the defense much. He has little value in IDP formats.

Steelers finish reducing roster

News: The Steelers continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: defensive backs Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith, Terrence Frederick and Josh Victorian; linebackers Brandon Hicks and Marshall McFadden; defensive linemen Corbin Bryant, Ikponmwosa Igbinosun and Jake Stoller; quarterback Jerrod Johnson; running back DuJuan Harris; and wide receivers Tyler Beiler, Toney Clemons, David Gilreath, Marquis Maze and Derrick Williams.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.

Victorian added to practice squad

News: The Patriots announced on Thursday that they signed LB Jeff Tarpinian from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. LB A.J. Edds was released to take his place and rookie DB Josh Victorian was added to the practice squad.
Analysis: Edds, a former fourth-round draft pick, was not in line for much playing time while on the roster. He is not a player that should be on anybody's radar in Fantasy. Victorian is far from making an impact for Fantasy owners as well.

News: More notable cuts from the Ravens Saturday: LB Josh Bynes, QB Hunter Cantwell, DT Lamar Divens, LB Tavares Goodman, DB Danny Gorrer, DT Bryan Hall, WR James Hardy, CB Talmadge Jackson, FB Ryan Mahaffey, TE Johdrick Morris, DB Mana Silva, DT Derek Simmons, WR Marucs Smith, CB Josh Victorian, LB Chavis Williams and DB Nate Williams.
Analysis: None of these guys were or are expected to be Fantasy relevant. Leave them off rosters.
