by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/30/2014) The Ravens received some contributions from several role players during Sunday's 34-33 defeat to the Chargers in Week 13.

With Steve Smith held in check and Torrey Smith injured late, Kamar Aiken and Jacoby Jones stepped up in the aerial attack. Aiken came down with three of his four targets for 51 yards and Jones caught all two passes thrown his way for 35 yards. Owen Daniels hauled in two passes for 30 yards.

Meanwhile in the running game, Bernard Pierce carried the ball six times for 16 yards and was held without a grab in the passing game despite being targerted once.

Ravens fairly healthy heading into Week 7 against Falcons

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/17/2014) As expected, the Ravens have ruled out defensive end Chris Canty for the Sunday game against Atlanta with a wrist injury. The only other certain no-go is defensive end Christo Bilukidi (ankle).

Also unlikely to play are offensive linemen Eugene Monroe and Kelechi Osemele, both of whom are doubtful with knee injuires. Wide receivers Marlon Brown (pelvis) and Kamar Aiken (concussion) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) are probable.

Owen Daniels also had two receptions, but finished third on the team with 34 yards. Kyle Juszczyk also caught two passes, gaining 29 yards. Crockett Gillmore gained 16 yards on two receptions.

They'll take on the Falcons Week 7.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/5/2014) The Ravens received contributions from several role players in Week 5 against the Colts.

Jacoby Jones muffed a punt in the first half and finished with just one catch for 30 yards. Kamar Aiken caught his only targeted pass for a gain of 8 yards. Kyle Juszczyk and Marlon Brown were each targeted twice but held without a grab in a 20-13 defeat.

Ravens need 'move-the-chains' receiver

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/26/2014) Asked what the Ravens' offense lacks, wideout Torrey Smith mentioned a "move-the-chains" receiver like Anquan Boldin. Of course, Baltimore traded Boldin following its Super Bowl victory last year.

“I don’t want to say an Anquan, but just a guy that’s like a move-the-chains guy," Smith told the Baltimore Sun. "That’s probably someone that we need on a consistent basis. Another weapon like that is just another person that Joe [Flacco] can rely on.”

Second-year pro Marlon Brown returns to the receiving corps, while Baltimore could lose unrestricted free agent Jacoby Jones and restricted free agent Tandon Doss. The other four receivers on the roster -- Deonte Thompson, Kamar Aiken, Gerrard Sheppard and Aaron Mellette – all are unproven, the report said.

Ravens make roster moves

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/30/2013) The Ravens signed eight practice squad members to reserve-future deals: tight end Matt Furstenburg, wideout Kamar Aiken, defensive tackle Cody Larsen, offensive tackle David Mims, tight end Nathan Overbay, receiver Gerrard Sheppard, quarterback Nick Stephens and center Reggie Stephens.

Those players are signed for the 2014 season even though the season does not officially begin until the start of the league's new year. The deals enable the players to keep working with the team, giving them a better chance to compete for roster spots.

Patriots get look at new receivers

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/26/2013) Patriots rookie receiver Aaron Dobson worked with the first team during practice at training camp Friday, reports the Boston Globe.

He lined up opposite Danny Amendola. Also working with the starting unit was receiver Kamar Aiken.

It appears that both receivers are ahead of Michael Jenkins at this point on the depth chart. Also in the mix for playing time at receiver in New England are rookies Josh Boyce and Kenbrell Thompkins and Julian Edelman.

The report says Boyce, taken in the fourth round at No. 102, saw more time working with the second team offense.
