Michael Preston, Heidelberg product, catches two touchdowns

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/15/2013) Little-known Titans receiver Michael Preston came up big in the team's Week 15 loss to Arizona, catching the first two touchdowns of his career. Preston caught three of his five targets for 27 yards, including 10- and 8-yard scoring grabs in the fourth quarter.

Preston's second touchdown came with 10 seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. Preston went undrafted in 2011 out of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. He played in the Arena League before signing with Tennessee.

Up to 10 career catches, Preston visits the Jaguars in Week 16.

Titans receivers struggle in Denver

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/8/2013) Titans WR Nate Washington, WR Michael Preston and TE Visanthe Shiancoe struggled to get going Week 14 against the Broncos.

Washington played the biggest role, catching two passes for 24 yards. He finished second on the team in receiving yards. Preston caught just one pass for 6 yards. Shiancoe caught two passes, but picked up just 2 yards.

They'll take on the Cardinals Week 15.

Titans list Week 5 inactives

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/6/2013) The Titans' list of inactives for Week 5 against the Chiefs includes wide receiver Michael Preston, offensive lineman Brian Schwenke, offensive lineman Byron Stingily, defensive back Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring) and defensive lineman Sammie Lee Hill (ankle). Preston, Schwenke and Stingily are all healthy scratches.

Three players have minor contributions for Titans Week 3

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/22/2013) Titans running back Jackie Battle, wide receiver Damian Williams and wide receiver Michael Preston all had minor contributions during a 20-17 win Week 3 vs. San Diego.

Battle managed four carries for 12 yards. Williams had one catch for 9 yards. His only other target was a potential 34-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter that fell incomplete. Preston had one catch for 4 yards.

Tennessee's next game is Week 4 vs. N.Y. Jets.

Titans backup WRs shine Saturday

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(8/25/2013) Titans backup wide receivers Justin Hunter and Michael Preston each made an impact on Saturday's preseason win over the Falcons.

Both receivers scored for Tennessee in the second half of the game. Hunter caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick in the third quarter, and Preston scored from 6 yards out also on a pass from Fitzpatrick. His score came in the fourth.

Preston finished with three catches for 68 yards to finish second on the team. Hunter had just the one catch for 3 yards.

Titans have competition at receiver

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/2/2013) The Titans might have three receivers competing for one spot during training camp, according to The Tennessean.

The five receivers likely to make the final roster include Nate Washington, Kenny Britt, Kendall Wright, Damian Williams and Justin Hunter. If they keep six, which is likely given Britt's injury history and Hunter already battling a hamstring problem as a rookie, three guys could compete for the final spot.

Those three would be Kevin WalterMichael Preston and Marc Mariani. All three have positive aspects to their game.

Walter is a veteran free-agent signee who would seem to be a very reliable short-yardage option for Jake Locker. Preston played four games last season and has playmaking potential. And Mariani was a Pro Bowl return-man as a rookie in 2011 who is on the comeback from a broken leg in the preseason last year.

Preston grabs a couple more

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/23/2012) Titans wide receiver Michael Preston, who was just promoted to the active roster Dec. 7, had two catches (on three targets) for 17 yards Week 16 at Green Bay. He now has a combined five catches for 59 yards in three games.
