(3/5/2014) The Giants tendered restricted free agent linebacker Spencer Paysinger at the low tender of $1.431 million, reports ESPN.com. Thus, New York can match any offer Paysinger might receive.

If the Giants choose not to match, they wouldn't receive any compensation.


Four injured Giants' players cleared to play Week 8

(10/27/2013) Giants cornerback Corey Webster (groin), linebacker Spencer Paysinger (ankle), safety Cooper Taylor (shoulder) and cornerback Terrell Thomas (knee) were all cleared to play Week 8 at Philadelphia. Webster was listed as questionable, while Thomas, Taylor and Paysinger were probable.

(10/25/2013) The Giants injury report is weighted heavily toward the defensive side of the ball for Week 8 against the Eagles. Of the six defensive players listed on the injury report, two are doubtful for Sunday's game; defensive back Jayron Hosley (hamstring) and defensive lineman Shaun Rogers (knee).

They are joined on the injury report by questionable defensive back Corey Webster (groin), as well as linebacker Spencer Paysinger (ankle) and defensive backs Terrell Thomas (knee) and Cooper Taylor (shoulder), all of whom are probable.

(9/30/2013) Giants linebacker Spencer Paysinger, safety Antrel Rolle and cornerback Prince Amukamara were the top statistical performers on defense during a 31-7 blowout loss Week 4 at Kansas City.

Paysinger had seven solo tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. Rolle had six solo tackles and one interception. Amukamara had three tackles (two solo), one interception and two pass defenses.

(9/27/2013) The Giants head into Week 4 against the Chiefs with a considerable number of players listed on the injury report. Fortunately, the defense should be at least relatively healthy, as the players with the best chance of taking the field Sunday are all on that side of the ball.

While defensive back Corey Webster (hip) has already been ruled out, the team is holding out hope for five other players. Safety Cooper Taylor (shoulder) and linebacker Jacquian Williams (knee) are both questionable, while linebacker Spencer Paysinger (hip), defensive back Terrell Thomas (knee) and defensive lineman Justin Trattou (ankle) are all probable.

(9/8/2013) Giants linebacker Spencer Paysinger left Sunday's contest against the Cowboys in Week 1 because of cramps. He left the game and went back to the locker room for an IV late in the third quarter. His return is questionable.

Giants announce linebacker depth chart

(9/4/2013) The Giants released their depth chart Wednesday for the season opener against Cowboys. On defense, the starting linebacker corps consists of Keith Rivers (SLB), Dan Connor (MLB) and Spencer Paysinger (WLB). 

Mark Herzlich is listed as the backup to Connor and Jacquian Williams is the backup to Paysinger.


Paysinger leaves with hamstring injury


(12/4/2011) Giants rookie LB Spencer Paysinger left Week 13 against the Packers due to a hamstring injury. Paysinger sustained the injury in the first quarter and did not return to the contest. He did not record a tackle prior to leaving the game.
