Report: Bucs land CB Sterling Moore

(3/19/2015) Free agent cornerback Sterling Moore agreed to terms with the Buccaneers, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Moore, 25, spent the past two seasons with Dallas.

Playing every game last season, Moore had 46 tackles, 12 passes defensed and a forced fumble.


Report: CB Sterling Moore to visit 49ers

(3/16/2015) Cornerback Sterling Moore is set to visit the 49ers on Wednesday, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The former Cowboys cornerback is scheduled to visit with the Steelers on Tuesday. Moore took over the nickel spot last year when Morris Claiborne was placed on injured reserve due to injury. He finished 2014 with 46 tackles and a forced fumble.

(3/16/2015) Cornerback Sterling Moore will fly to Pittsburgh on Monday to visit the Steelers, reports ESPN. Moore was not tendered by the Cowboys, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Cowboys tender RB Lance Dunbar but not CB Sterling Moore

(3/9/2015) The Cowboys placed a one-year, $1.542 million tender on restricted free agent running back Lance Dunbar but did not tender corner Sterling Moore, making Moore an unrestricted free agent Tuesday, reports the Dallas Morning News.

Dunbar caught 18 passes for 217 yards while running 29 times for 99 yards last season.


Report: Cowboys CB Sterling Moore will not be re-signed


(3/8/2015) Cowboys cornerback Sterling Moore will become an unrestricted free agent, per ESPN.com. The team will not tender him a contract and he is now looking for work.

Moore saw increased playing time due to the two-game suspension of cornerback Orlando Scandrick and the season-ending injury suffered by cornerback Morris Claiborne in week four.

The fifth-year cornerback played in 16 games while starting seven in 2014.

(8/31/2013) Cornerback Sterling Moore, who has earned some playing time with New England and Dallas, has been cut by the Cowboys. Moore played in five games in both 2011 and 2012. Another significant cut by the team is wide receiver Anthony Armstrong, who has 54 career catches.

Others waived by Dallas are the following: quarterback Alex Tanney, tackles Demetress Bell and Edawn Coughman, defensive backs Micah Pellerin, Xavier Brewer and Jakar Hamilton, linebackers Brandon McGee, Cameron Lawrence, Caleb McSurdy and Taylor Reed, running back Kendial Lawrence, defensive tackle Jerome Long, defensive ends Thaddeus Gibson and Jabari Fletcher, guard Ray Dominguez, wide receivers Tim Benford and Danny Coale, defensive lineman Jason Vega and center Kevin Kowalski

(12/1/2012) Dallas has placed defensive lineman Ben Bass on injured reserve, ending his season, Saturday. Bass has an ankle injury and is a rookie out of Texas A&M. Dallas signed cornerback Sterling Moore off the Patriots' practice squad to take his place on the roster.
