Ravens fairly healthy heading into Week 7 against Falcons

(10/17/2014) As expected, the Ravens have ruled out defensive end Chris Canty for the Sunday game against Atlanta with a wrist injury. The only other certain no-go is defensive end Christo Bilukidi (ankle).

Also unlikely to play are offensive linemen Eugene Monroe and Kelechi Osemele, both of whom are doubtful with knee injuires. Wide receivers Marlon Brown (pelvis) and Kamar Aiken (concussion) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) are probable.

(10/15/2014) Ravens defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) returned to practice Wednesday. It was his first action since suffering his injury on Sept. 11 and undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

(10/12/2014) The Ravens have listed OL Kelechi Osemele, LB Arthur Brown, OL Eugene Monroe, DT Timmy Jernigan, DE Chris Canty, WR Marlon Brown and TE Ryan Taylor as inactive Week 6 against the Buccaneers.

Canty and Jernigan had been ruled out prior to the contest. Marlon Brown was listed as doubtful, while Osemele was considered questionable. 


Ravens list eight players on final injury report

(10/10/2014) The Ravens listed eight players on their final injury report Friday leading up to Week 6 against the Buccaneers.

Defensive lineman Chris Canty (wrist), defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee), and tackle Eugene Monroe (knee) have all been ruled out, while wide receiver Marlon Brown (pelvis) was the only player ruled doubtful on the list.

Meanwhile, guard Kelechi Osemele (knee) was deemed questionable, while safety Matt Elam (shoulder), linebacker Daryl Smith (knee) and guard Jeremy Zuttah (ankle) were ruled probable for Sunday.

Ravens bring good and bad news on Friday injury report

(10/3/2014) The Ravens have deemed featured back Bernard Pierce (thigh) as probable for the Sunday game at Indianapolis despite John Harbaugh already declaring him ready to go.

The bad news for Baltimore is that defensive linemen Chris Canty (illness) and Timmy Jernigan (knee) are both doubtful, as is tackle Eugene Monroe (knee).

The questionables are linebacker Terrell Suggs (thigh) and tight end Phillip Supernaw (thigh). Suggs, however, is expected to play after participating in Friday practice.

(9/26/2014) Ravens rookie defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan is expected to be sidelined for a second straight game Sunday against Carolina with a meniscus problem in his knee that prevented him from playing in Week 3, per the Baltimore Sun.

Jernigan is expected back at some point this season, but has no timetable. He is hoping to avoid surgery and rehab.

(9/21/2014) Running back Bernard Pierce is one of only two injured scratches for the Ravens on Sunday as they prepare for their clash in Cleveland. The other is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee).

The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Michael Campanaro , safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Arthur Brown and offensive linemen Jah Reid and John Urschel.

(9/19/2014) Ravens running back Bernard Pierce has been listed as questionable for the Sunday game in Cleveland with a thigh injury. He is the lone Baltimore player so designated Friday.

Deemed doubtful is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee). The probables are quarterback Joe Flacco (illness), cornerbacks Lardarius Webb (back) and Asa Jackson (concussion) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee).

(5/9/2014) With the No. 48 pick in the NFL Draft, the Ravens selected defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan from Florida State.

Jernigan is 6-foot-2, 299 pounds. He had 4.5 sacks for the Seminoles in 2013 and played well as a run-stuffer.

He has the chance to provide depth for the Ravens defense and the Ravens DST along their defensive line.
