John Abraham looks to build off big finish

(5/21/2014) Cardinals outside linebacker John Abraham racked up all of his 11.5 sacks in the final 10 regular-season games last year. Though he's 36 and entering his 15th season, he believes he can surpass that sack total, the fourth-highest of his career.

"I'm shooting for at least 20 (sacks). I always shoot high," Abraham told ArizonaSports.com. "Shoot high, you might hit low, but at least you shoot high. Don't bowl; you've got to shoot a basket. Shoot high, don't bowl."

(12/27/2013) The NFL unveiled the roster for the 2014 Pro Bowl Friday, the first in league history with selections determined with regard to conerence. The defensive Pro Bowl selections, as chosen by fan vote as well as coaches and players, are broken down by position as follows, with the teams to be selected Jan. 22 via televised draft.

Defensive end: Greg Hardy, Panthers; Cameron Jordan, Saints; Robert Quinn, Rams; Cameron Wake, Dolphins; J.J. Watt, Texans; Mario Williams, Bills.

Three Cardinals ruled questionable Week 17

(12/27/2013) The Cardinals have ruled LB John Abraham, OL Daryn Colledge and S Rashad Johnson as questionable Week 17.

Abraham is dealing with a groin injury. Colledge has a back issue. Johnson has been limited with an ankle injury.

Abraham was able to practice in full both Thursday and Friday. Gibson was held out due to an illness Wednesday, but returned to practice Thursday and Friday. Rucker practiced in full the entire week.

(11/18/2013) Cardinals outside linebacker John Abraham managed at least one sack for the fourth straight game Week 11 at Jacksonville. He has totaled seven sacks in his last four games after totaling zero in his first six games.

Abraham, who has made the shift from defensive end to outside linebacker, finished with three solo tackles for the second straight game Sunday. Abraham also had a pass defense in a 27-14 win.

(11/13/2013) Cardinals linebacker John Abraham has been on a tear the past three games, racking up six sacks and three forced fumbles. But his status for Week 11 at Jacksonville is in doubt after he missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, according to the team's website.

Abraham is the NFL's active leader in sacks and forced fumbles.

Shaughnessy and Abraham were dealing with injuries throughout the week. Washington was listed with an illness. Massie was listed on the injury report, but it was not injury related.

Abraham took Russell Wilson down twice, as part of his three-tackle performance. He forced a pair of fumbles as well, in the 34-22 loss.

The probables include linebackers John Abraham (shoulder), Karlos Dansby (quadricep) and Kenny Demens (hamstring), tight end Jim Dray (quadricep), safety Rashad Johnson (finger) and defensive end Ronald Talley (wrist).
