| Paris Lenon, OLB STL | |
| News: The St. Louis Rams have signed wide receiver Ruvell Martin and linebacker Paris Lenon. Martin played three seasons for Green Bay before being waived Sept. 5. He had 52 receptions for 749 yards and six touchdowns for the Packers in those three years. Lenon is an eight-year veteran who played four seasons in Green Bay and three in Detroit before signing with New England in the offseason. He also was cut on Sept. 5. He has 523 career tackles, five sacks and two interceptions, along with 58 special teams tackles. | Analysis: Neither Martin nor Lenon are expected to see the kind of playing time necessary to warrant Fantasy use. Keep both off of rosters for now. |

Keep them off of rosters for now. |
Pats pick up LB Lenon
|
Updated 5/27/2009 |
| Paris Lenon, OLB STL | |
| News: The Boston Globe reports that the Patriots and LB Paris Lenon have agreed to terms on a contract. Lenon has spent the last three seasons with the Lions, including last year. He's best suited to play inside and has notched 80-plus tackles in each of his last two seasons. "Paris is excited to finally be a part of a winning organization and eager to contribute in whatever way Coach Belichick and his staff see fit. Now, quite simply, he's eager to go to work," agent Jon Persch said. | Analysis: Lenon might have a shot at working next to Jerod Mayo as part of the Patriots' LB corps. Of course, he'd have to beat out Tedy Bruschi for playing time first. He's unlikely to be a useful Fantasy option to IDP owners this year. |

|
Updated 12/21/2008 |
| Paris Lenon, OLB STL | |
| News: Detroit LB Paris Lenon led the Lions with nine tackles against the Saints in Week 16's 42-7 loss. Ernie Sims tied Lenon with nine stops and Daniel Bullocks finished with seven. | Analysis: Lenon now has 114 tackles and two forced fumbles this season. Sims has 106 tackles and Bullocks 90, also with two forced fumbles. Lenon has emerged as one of the best tacklers in the league and deserves more than 13 percent ownership in Fantasy IDP leagues. Consider taking a flier on him if you feel like you need to make a change. Sims deserves a look as a No. 2 fantasy LB. Bullocks is only a minimally-viable LB and should not be used in Week 17 at Green Bay. |

Lenon also picked up half a sack in the game and two forced fumbles. | Analysis: Lenon now has 89 tackles on the season with 1.5 sacks. He's a middle-to-low-end option in Fantasy IDP leagues. Don't use him in Week 15 at Indianapolis. |

The Lions host the Vikings in Week 14. |

| News: Lions LB Paris Lenon (seven tackles), DB Kalvin Pearson (six tackles), LB Alex Lewis (five tackles), LB Ernie Sims (five tackles), LB Ryan Nece (four tackles, sack), DL Cliff Avril (sack) and DL Chartric Darby (sack) all helped out in a Week 12 loss to the Buccaneers. | Analysis: Lenon has some Fantasy value in deeper IDP Fantasy leagues, but the rest of these guys are not viable in Fantasy play. Detroit hosts Tennessee on Thanksgiving and none of the players in this list should be starting for that matchup. |

| News: Detroit LB Paris Lenon had to be helped off the field late in the fourth quarter of Week 1 against the Falcons after suffering an apparent leg injury. | Analysis: Lenon was considered a sleeper No. 2 LB in Fantasy IDP leagues and was the guy who wore the microphone in his helmet for the Lions. It isn't known the extent of the injury yet, but he wasn't able to walk off on his own power, which isn't good news. |
Paris Lenon a surprise Fantasy stud
|
Updated 1/18/2008 |
| Paris Lenon, OLB STL | |
| News: Six-year NFL veteran Paris Lenon finally broke through with the Lions in 2007, totaling 118 tackles (88 solo) with two sacks, an interception returned for a touchdown, three passes defensed and two forced fumbles. Lenon was the middle linebacker for the Lions' 'Tampa-2' defensive scheme last season. | Analysis: Lenon is easy on the salary cap and entering 2008 in a contract year. Assuming the Lions don't change their LB corps much, pencil in Lenon as a sleeper No. 2 Fantasy option in 2008 league play. |

He remains a low-end Fantasy starting LB in IDP formats, though, for Week 17 at the Packers. |
