News: The Saints placed cornerback Corey White on injured reserve Wednesday with a knee injury.
Analysis: White started four games for the Saints as a rookie, but he had just one interception and was never putting up great stats. He had no Fantasy appeal in IDP formats.
News:Corey White's first career interception was a big one. It came on a deep ball that the Saints defensive back was able to snatch away from wide receiver Drew Davis early in the third quarter Week 10 against the Falcons. The turnover led to a touchdown that gave the Saints' a two-score lead -- one they would not lose the rest of the game. "Man, that ball was in the air a long time,'' White told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Didn't know if was ever going to come down.''
Analysis: White also had three solo tackles in the contest, but tackles are about as rare as interceptions for him. The rookie typically doesn't get enough time on the field to make a worthwhile Fantasy contribution. You can ignore him in IDP leagues.
News: The Saints selected Samford strong safety Corey White in the fifth round (No. 162 overall) of the NFL draft. White (6-feet, 206 pounds) had a strong combine effort and should do some work on special teams to begin his career.
Analysis: White isn't expected to be a big stat producer for a while, so don't think about adding him to Fantasy rosters, even in dynasty and keeper leagues.
