News: The Jaguars signed wide receiver Toney Clemons off the Steelers' practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Clemons will just be roster depth for Jacksonville and should not be added in any Fantasy format.
News: The Steelers took Colorado wide receiver Toney Clemons, a Pittsburgh native, with a seventh-round pick in the NFL Draft. At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, Clemons wouldn't have had a chance at being drafted if not for a strong college finish. He had 25 catches, 476 yards and five touchdowns in his final five games. Receivers coach Scottie Montgomery said the tape of Clemons' final games convinced him he was worth taking. It "really showed him to be a productive receiver," Montgomery said. "He has a unique combination of size and speed."
Analysis: Clemons is a second cousin to Chiefs receiver Steve Breaston, WNBA star Swin Cash and comes from a family of state and region sprinting champions. But until he works on his game, he won't find a lot of playing time. He's worth a late pick in rookie-only drafts for now.
