Jaguars place T Pasztor on IR, sign LB Edds

(12/3/2014) The Jaguars have placed offensive tackle Austin Pasztor on injured reserve with a ruptured hamstring and signed linebacker A.J. Edds.

Pasztor sustained the injury Sunday against the Giants. He served as a starter in each of the last eight games.


Jags have decision to make at right tackle

(12/2/2014) With starting right tackle Austin Pasztor rupturing his hamstring Week 13, the Jaguars will replace him with rookie Josh Wells or veteran Sam Young, reports the Florida Times-Union. Wells filled in for Pasztor against the Giants, logging 41 snaps.

"Wells did a pretty good job when he stepped in," coach Gus Bradley told the paper. "The reason why we had him up [active] over Sam Young is because of his flexibility. He could play left tackle and right tackle. Sam does a good job at right tackle so we'll talk more about that, but it will be one of those two."

The Jaguars host the Texans on Sunday.

(12/1/2014) Jaguars offensive lineman Austin Pasztor suffered a torn hamstring in Week 13 against the Giants, reports the Florida Times-Union. Pasztor left the game in the first half with the injury. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season, per the paper.

Meanwhile, the following players were deemed probable for Week 12: Blake Bortles (left wrist), Chris Clemons (knee), Aaron Colvin (knee), Josh Evans (elbow), Brandon Linder (shoulder) and Austin Pasztor (hamstring).

(10/3/2014) The Jaguars have ruled out four players for their Week 5 game against the Steelers. They are cornerback Dwayne Gratz (concussion), wide receivers Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and Marqise Lee (hamstring) and tight end Mickey Shuler (illness).

The other players on their Friday injury report are probable. They are defensive ends Ryan Davis (shoulder) and Andre Branch (hip), defensive tackle Roy Miller (ankle), offensive tackle Austin Pasztor (hand) and linebacker Paul Posluszny (knee).

(9/28/2014) The Jaguars have listed TE Mickey Shuler, WR Marqise Lee, OL Tyler Shatley, OL Austin Pasztor, WR Tavarres King , LB Jeremiah George  and CB Jeremy Harris as inactive Week 4 against the Chargers. 

Both Lee and Shuler had been ruled out prior to the game. Pasztor was considered probable, so the move comes as a surprise.

Wide receiver Marqise Lee (hamstring) and tight end Mickey Shuler (illness) have been ruled out. The probables are running back Toby Gerhart (ankle), tight end Clay Harbor (calf), wide receiver Allen Hurns (ankle), defensive tackle Roy Miller (ankle), tackle Austin Pasztor (hand), linebacker Paul Posluszny (ankle) and fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou (ankle).

Included among them are cornerbacks Alan Ball (abdomen) and Jeremy Harris (illness), defensive end Chris Clemons (illness), safety Johnathan Cyprien (concussion), running backs Storm Johnson (ankle) and Toby Gerhart (foot), safety Guy Winston (illness), wide receivers Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and Allen Hurns (ankle), offensive lineman Austin Pasztor (hand), tight end Mickey Shuler (heel) and linebacker Paul Posluszny (knee).

The team has ruled out wideout Marqise Lee (hamstring) and deemed tight end Clay Harbor as questionable.


Jaguars make changes along offensive line

(9/17/2014) The Jaguars announced Wednesday a few changes to their starting lineup along the offensive line. 

Rookie Luke Bowanko is replacing veteran Jacques McClendon as the team's starting center. The Jaguars also announced Sam Young will be the starting right tackle after the team released Cameron Bradfield Tuesday. Young will remain in the starting lineup until Austin Pasztor is ready to return from a fractured hand he suffered in the preseason.

Cornerback Alan Ball (abdominal) is questionable after sustaining an injury Friday, but he told the team website he expects to play against the Redskins.

Among those injured who are also likely to play are tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee), cornerback Dwayne Gratz (ankle), running back Toby Gerhart (ankle), wide receiver Marqise Lee (hamstring) and defensive lineman Abry Jones (abdominal).


Austin Pasztor hopeful to return Week 3

(9/10/2014) Jaguars right tackle Austin Pasztor, who has been sidelined since mid-August due to a fractured right hand, remains hopeful of returning Week 3 against the Colts, according to The Florida Times-Union.

"I think so [for Week 3]," Pasztor said. "I'm not really sure where I'm at right now. It's hard to say. It feels great, but the doctors want to let the bone heal at least some. Later on this week, I'll get a scan on it and we'll see where it is."
