Injured linemen highlight Chiefs inactives

(1/4/2014) Among the Chiefs inactives for Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against the Colts, only two injured players were unable to take the field. Offensive linemen Eric Kush (ankle) and Eric Fisher (groin, shoulder) were among the seven players listed as inactive prior to the game.

Those two are joined by fellow offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins, quarterback Tyler Bray, tight end Richard Gordon , linebacker Dezman Moses and defensive lineman Jerrell Powe on the inactive list. 


Chiefs fully healthy for Mile High showdown

(11/17/2013) All the Chiefs who were listed on the injury report are active for Sunday night's AFC West showdown in Denver. They include tight ends Anthony Fasano (knee, ankle) and Sean McGrath (knee), defensive end Mike Catapano (ankle), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) and running back Anthony Sherman (knee, calf).

All the injured players were listed as probable.

(11/15/2013) The Chiefs are quite healthy as they prepare for their AFC West showdown in Denver. They list seven players on their injury report, but all are probable.

They are wide receivers Dexter McCluster (ankle) and Donnie Avery (shoulder), defensive end Mike Catapano (ankle), tight ends Sean McGrath (knee) and Anthony Fasano (knee/ankle), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) and running back Anthony Sherman (knee/calf).


Chiefs defense only missing one Sunday

(11/3/2013) The Chiefs defense is in good shape in Week 9 against the Bills, as only Mike Catapano (ankle) is inactive Sunday due to injury.

Defensive backs Kendrick Lewis (ankle) and Ron Parker (toe), as well as linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) were all able to play through their injuries Sunday.

(11/1/2013) Backup defensive end Mike Catapano is likely the only injured Chiefs player that will not suit up Sunday against the Steelers. He is out with an ankle ailment.

(10/25/2013) The Chiefs are quite healthy heading into their Sunday game against Cleveland. All key players but wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (groin) and safety Kendrick Lewis (ankle), who are questionable, have been designated as probable.

Among them is linebacker Derrick Johnson (wrist), who has three sacks in the last two games. The others are offensive lineman Jeff Allen (knee/groin), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe), defensive back Ron Parker (toe) and running back Anthony Sherman knee/calf).

(10/20/2013) Despite a lengthy injury list, the Chiefs are healthy heading into Week 7. Only two non-starters are among the injured inactives. They are tight end Kevin Brock (shoulder) and linebacker Dezman Moses (toe).

The healthy inactives are defensive tackle Jaye Howard, quarterback Tyler Bray, safety Bradley McDougald, offensive lineman Eric Kush and guard Rishaw Johnson.

(10/18/2013) The length of the injury list posted Friday by the Chiefs does not signify a battered team. All but two of the 14 players on it are probable for Sunday against Houston.

Among its offensive players are linemen Branden Albert (knee, elbow), Jeff Allen (groin/hand) and Jon Asamoah (knee), tight ends Kevin Brock (shoulder) and Anthony Fasano (ankle/knee), wide receiver Donnie Avery (shoulder) and running back Anthony Sherman (knee).

The defensive players listed as probable are cornerback Brandon Flowers (ankle), linebacker Dezman Moses (knee) and tackle Dontari Poe (ankle). Punter Dustin Colquitt (knee) is also probable.

(9/8/2013) Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah (foot) and tight end Travis Kelce (knee) were both cleared to play Week 1 at Jacksonville after being questionable on the injury report. Safety Quintin Demps (hamstring), tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder), linebacker James-Michael Johnson (groin), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe), cornerback Sean Smith (neck) and tackle Donald Stephenson (shoulder) were also cleared after being listed as probable.

(9/1/2013) The Chiefs claimed seven players off waivers: wideout Chad Hall (San Francisco), tight end Sean McGrath (Seattle), linebackers Dezman Moses (Green Bay) and James-Michael Johnson (Cleveland), defensive backs Ron Parker (Seattle) and Marcus Cooper (San Francisco) and defensive lineman Jaye Howard (Seattle).

To make room, Kansas City released wideout Devon Wylie, tight end Kevin Brock, defensive lineman Jerrell Powe, linebacker Zac Diles and defensive backs Jalil Brown and Bradley McDougald.


Packers announce cuts to get down to 53

(8/31/2013) Quarterback Vince Young, running back Alex Green and tight end D.J. Williams were among the veterans cut by the Packers on Saturday. But the team waived many more in getting down to the mandated 53.

The following are also gone: fullback Jonathan Amosa, safeties Chaz Powell and David Fulton, centers Patrick Lewis and Garth Gerhart, tackle Kevin Hughes, wide receivers Miles White, Tyrone Walker and Charles Johnson, linebackers Donte Savage, Dezman Moses and Terrell Manning, cornerbacks Brandon Smith, James Nixon and Loyce Means, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, and tight ends Jake Stoneburner and Matthew Mulligan
