Reaves waived, Blackburn to IR among Panthers roster moves

(10/28/2014) The Panthers announced a few roster moves Tuesday, which included waiving running back Darrin Reaves and placing linebacker Chase Blackburn (knee) on injured reserve. Reaves became expendable since DeAngelo Williams is set to return from an ankle injury Thursday against the Saints.

The Panthers also announced they signed offensive tackle Mike Remmers off the Rams practice squad and promoted safety Robert Lester to the 53-man roster.

(12/29/2013) The Vikings have made QB Josh Freeman, RB Adrian Peterson, CB Xavier Rhodes, RB Toby Gerhart, T Mike Remmers, WR Rodney Smith and DT Letroy Guion inactive Week 17.

With both Gerhart and Peterson out, Matt Asiata will get the majority of the work. Guion came into the game listed as doubtful.

Harrison Smith activated from short-term IR

(12/14/2013) The Vikings activated defensive back Harrison Smith from injured reserve Saturday, as he has made a recovery from a toe injury. Smith's activation came at the expense of offensive lineman Mike Remmers, who was waived to make room on the 53-man roster.

Smith appeared in five games prior to the injury, recorded 34 tackles and two interceptions.

(11/23/2013) The Chargers signed offensive lineman Kenny Wiggins from the practice squad, after waiving tackle Mike Remmers, the team announced Saturday.

Wiggins was also added to the active roster for last week's game, but did not play and was added back to the practice squad a few days later.

The others are healthy scratches. They are defensive tackle Kwame Geathers, wideout Lavelle Hawkins, linebacker Adrian Robinson, quarterback Brad Sorensen and safety Brandon Taylor.

(11/15/2013) The Chargers injury report released Friday features every designation but doubtful, but the only player out for Sunday in Miami is tackle King Dunlap (neck).

Listed as questionable are safety Jahleel Addai (ankle), center Nick Hardwick (neck), linebacker Jarret Johnson (hamstring), fullback Le'Ron McClain (ankle) and wideout Eddie Royal (toe). Royal did not participate in any practice this week, but the same has held true the last two weeks and he played in both games.

The probables are tackle D.J. Fluker (illness), defensive end Lawrence Guy (toe), running back Ryan Mathews (hamstring), offensive linemen Mike Remmers (ankle) and Chad Rinehart (toe) and linebacker Manti Te'o (elbow).

(11/10/2013) The Chargers have made QB Brad Sorensen, WR Lavelle Hawkins, S Brandon Taylor, T Mike Remmers, T Nick Becton, G Stephen Schilling and OLB Jarret Johnson inactive Week 10 against the Broncos.

Only Johnson was listed on the team's injury report coming into the game. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury.

(11/8/2013) The Chargers have eight players on their Friday injury report, but only offensive lineman Mike Remmers (ankle) has been ruled out of the game Sunday against Denver. And only defensive end Lawrence Guy (toe), linebacker Jarret Johnson (hamstring) and wideout Eddie Royal (toe) are questionable.

The rest are probable. They are linebacker Donald Butler (groin), guard Chad Rinehart (toe), punter Mike Scifres (knee) and linebacker Tourek Williams (thumb).

(11/3/2013) The Chargers had two offensive lineman on the injury report heading into Sunday's Week 9 game at Washington. Guard/Tackle Mike Remmers will be out for the game due to his ankle injury. He was ruled out earlier in the week.

Guard Chad Rinehart will also be inactive for the Chargers after practicing in a limited capacity all week. He is dealing with a toe injury and has been on the injury report for several weeks now.

(11/1/2013) Several defensive players highlight the injury report submitted Friday by the Chargers. Among them is starting inside linebacker Donald Butler, who is doubtful and will likely miss his third straight game Sunday in Washington.

The others are end Lawrence Guy (toe), free safety Eric Weddle (toe) and linebacker Jarret Johnson (hamstring), all of whom are probable.

(10/9/2013) The Chargers signed guard/tackle Mike Remmers off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad Wednesday, the team's official site reports. 

The 23-year-old originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos in May. He joined the practice squad of the Bucs on Sept. 10 after being waived by Denver.

(9/1/2013) The Buccaneers claimed defensive tackle Chris Jones off waivers from the Texans and wideout Russell Shepard off waivers from the Eagles. To make room, Tampa Bay released wideout Tiquan Underwood and waived linebacker Najee Goode.

In addition, the Bucs signed seven players to their practice squad: cornerback Deveron Carr, offensive lineman Jace Daniels, linebacker Ka’lial Glaud, defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo, tight end Danny Noble, wide receiver Chris Owusu and offensive tackle Mike Remmers.
