News: The Jets continued trimming their roster in preparation for the regular season and released quarterback Matt Simms on Friday. Simms, a rookie out of Tennessee, made his preseason debut Thursday at Philadelphia and connected on 3 of his 6 passes for just nine yards.
Analysis: Simms was looking to secure a spot on the roster as New York's third-string quarterback, but will have to look elsewhere for employment. The 23-year-old should be left off roster in all Fantasy formats for the time being.
