(11/23/2013) The Packers activated defensive back Sean Richardson (neck) and defensive lineman Jerel Worthy (neck) from the PUP list, the team announced Saturday. Both players should be available for Week 12 against the Vikings. 

To make room on the active roster, the team added a pair of defenders to injured reserve. Defensive backs James Nixon (knee) and Casey Hayward (hamstring) will both miss the remainder of the season after being put on IR. 


Four Packers ruled out Week 12

(11/22/2013) Packers OT Don Barclay, CB Casey Hayward, CB James Nixon and LB Nick Perry have been ruled out Week 12 against the Vikings.

All four players were unable to practice this week. Barclay is dealing with a knee injury. Hayward has a hamstring issue. Nixon has a knee injury. Perry is dealing with a foot/ankle issue.

(11/17/2013) Packers defensive back James Nixon was forced out of Sunday's game against the Giants in Week 11 with a knee injury.

Nixon suffered the injury in the first half and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. He finished the game with no tackles.

Perry and Brad Jones had been listed as questionable, while the rest had been ruled out or listed as doubtful.

(8/31/2013) Quarterback Vince Young, running back Alex Green and tight end D.J. Williams were among the veterans cut by the Packers on Saturday. But the team waived many more in getting down to the mandated 53.

The following are also gone: fullback Jonathan Amosa, safeties Chaz Powell and David Fulton, centers Patrick Lewis and Garth Gerhart, tackle Kevin Hughes, wide receivers Miles White, Tyrone Walker and Charles Johnson, linebackers Donte Savage, Dezman Moses and Terrell Manning, cornerbacks Brandon Smith, James Nixon and Loyce Means, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, and tight ends Jake Stoneburner and Matthew Mulligan

Defensive back Jarrett Bush (ankle), Casey Hayward (hamstring), Morgan Burnett (hamstring) and James Nixon (knee) were all held out. Linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring) was also held out due to injury.

Among the players on the way out were: wide receivers Gino Crump, and Tre Gray and Jaymar Johnson; running backs Jared Crank, Thomas Clayton and Reagan Maui'a; defensive backs Eddie Elder, Marshay Green and James Nixon; linebackers Marcus McGraw, Zack Nash and Paul Vassallo; and defensive lineman Landon Cohen.
