Chargers announce Week 7 inactives vs. Chiefs

(10/19/2014) The Chargers have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 7 matchup with the Chiefs: cornerback Jason Verrett (shoulder), running backs Ryan Mathews (knee) and Donald Brown (concussion), linebackers Jeremiah Attaochu (hamstring) and Manti Te'o (foot), wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews.

The two running backs and Te'o were ruled out on the team's final injury report, while Attaochu was doubtful to play. Verrett is inactive after being questionable on the final injury report, but cornerback Brandon Flowers (groin) and linebackers Dwight Freeney (knee) and Cordarro Law (ankle) are all active after also being questionable.

Five Chargers are active after drawing a probable tag, including wide receiver Eddie Royal (elbow), linebacker Reggie Walker (ankle), cornerback Shareece Wright (knee) and offensive linemen D.J. Fluker (ankle) and Rich Ohrnberger (back).


Several key Chargers on injury report released Friday

(10/17/2014) Running backs Donald Brown (concussion) and Ryan Mathews (knee) have been ruled out by the Chargers for their Sunday game against Kansas City. Also red-lighted is linebacker Manti Te'o (foot).

Listed as doubtful is linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu (hamstring) while cornerbacks Jason Verrett (shoulder) and Brandon Flowers (groin), linebacker Dwight Freeney (knee) and defensive end Cordarro Law (ankle) are questionable.

The probables are offensive linemen Rich Ohrnberger (back) and D.J. Fluker (ankle), wideout Eddie Royal (elbow), linebacker Reggie Walker (ankle) and cornerback Shareece Wright (knee).

Donald Butler, Malcom Floyd, Ladarius Green, Jarret Johnson, Cordarro Law and Jason Verrett are all active for the game. All six entered considered probable, so their availability shouldn't come as a surprise. 


Chargers release final Week 5 injury report

(10/3/2014) The Chargers listed three players as questionable to play in Week 5 on Friday's final injury report, including linebacker Dwight Freeney (knee), defensive tackle Corey Liuget (concussion) and tight end David Johnson (shoudler).

Freeney didn't practice Thursday but was able to work in limited fashion on Wednesday and Friday. Johnson and Liuget returned to a full practice Friday.

The Chargers listed five players as probable to face the Jets in Week 5, including tight end Ladarius Green (hamstring), cornerback Jason Verrett (hamstring) and linebackers Donald Butler (shoulder), Jarret Johnson (shoulder) and Cordarro Law (ankle).

The following players have been ruled out for Week 5 action: running back Ryan Mathews (knee), offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger (back), cornerback Shareece Wright (knee) and linebackers Manti Te'o (foot), Jeremiah Attaochu (hamstring) and Reggie Walker (ankle).


Chargers shuffle active roster Tuesday

(9/23/2014) The Chargers made several moves Tuesday, adding running back Shaun Draughn and linebackers Kevin Reddick and Cordarro Law to the active roster. The team also placed running back Danny Woodhead on injured reserve and released defensive lineman Lawrence Guy.

The Chargers added three players to the practice squad Tuesday as well: running back D.J. Adams, tight end David Paulson and outside linebacker Colton Underwood. Adrian Phillips was released from the practice squad, while Marcus Cromartie was released from the reserved-injured list.


Chargers announce final roster cuts Saturday

(8/30/2014) The Chargers announced their final round of roster cuts on Saturday, paring their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

The following players were let go by San Diego: WR Vincent Brown, LB Victor Aiyewa, DT Chas Alecxih, WR Torrence Allen, CB Crezdon Butler, S Alden Darby, CB Greg Ducre, TE Mike Flacco, T Michael Harris , WR Javontee Herndon, OLB Thomas Keiser, DL Joe Kruger, OLB Cordarro Law, S Adrian Phillips, WR Tevin Reese, T Jeremiah Sirles, QB Brad Sorensen, OLB Colton Underwood, G Craig Watts, T Kenny Wiggins, C Khalil Wilkes and DL Doug Worthington.

(2/26/2014) The Chargers signed linebacker Cordarro Law, who had 14 sacks for the CFL's Calgary Stampeders last season, reports the National Football Post. The Southern Miss product went undrafted in 2012.

(2/14/2014) The Chargers made a low-risk signing they hope will bring some high upside Friday, as U-T San Diego reports the team agreed to terms on a reserve/future contract with linebacker Cordarro Law from the Canadian Football League.

Law spent the 2013 season with the Calgary Stampeders, finishing with 14 sacks to finish third in the league. He was undrafted out of Southern Mississippi in 2012, and was cut after training camp with the Seahawks.

According to the report, Law worked out for the Chargers last month along with two other CFL players. He will join the team in San Diego in April for voluntary workouts.
