News: After rushing for just 55 yards in three games this season, Raiders running back Jeremy Stewart was more involved on offense in Week 13 against the Browns. He led Oakland with nine carries for 46 yards in the 20-17 loss. He had a long run of 14 and averaged 5.1 yards per rush. Stewart also caught a 2-yard pass in the defeat.
Analysis: Marcel Reece received the start again Sunday with Darren McFadden (ankle) out but Stewart saw more carries as the game went on. This would be an interesting development to keep an eye on but coach Dennis Allen said after the game that McFadden is expected back for Week 14, so Stewart does not seem like the best pickup off the waiver wire at this point. While he should see some carries down the stretch, continue to ignore Stewart in most Fantasy formats.
News: Raiders running back Jeremy Stewart rushed for 26 yards on seven carries and added six catches for 37 yards Week 12 at Cincinnati.
Analysis: Stewart has been the primary backup running back to Marcel Reece while Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson have been out the last three weeks with ankle injuries. However, Stewart is far more important to the Raiders than Fantasy owners. Even if he has to pull backup duty again Week 13 vs. Cleveland, he is not a recommended Fantasy option.
News: Raiders running back Jeremy Stewart saw a few touches in Week 11 against the Saints. He gained 7 yards on two carries and also posted a 23-yard catch in the 38-17 loss.
Analysis: Stewart has been seeing some work recently with Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson out but his role still limits his appeal in Fantasy. Continue to ignore the 23-year-old in all formats at this point.
News: Raiders running back Jeremy Stewart, signed off the practice squad Saturday, ran seven times for 22 yards on Sunday against the Raiders, with five of those carries coming in the fourth quarter of a 55-20 blowout loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: There was some good news: Stewart established himself as the backup to Marcel Reece, ahead of Taiwan Jones, who got just two carries and caught a pass. However, with the Raiders throwing the ball 46 times on Sunday and rushing it just 24 times (with 10 of those carries coming in the fourth quarter during garbage time), there's not much value to be had, even if something happens to Reece. Stewart can be left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: The Raiders promoted running back Jeremy Stewart from the practice squad Saturday, reports ESPN. Oakland placed cornerback Shawntae Spencer on injured reserve to make room. Spencer was dealing with a foot injury and was already ruled out for Week 10 at Baltimore.
Analysis: Stewart may even see a carry or two in the game at Baltimore Sunday. That said, we doubt he's going to gain relevant Fantasy value.
News: The New York Jets made their first round of cuts Monday and released the following players: running backs Jeremy Stewart; wide receivers Stanley Arukwe and Wes Kemp; and linebacker Damario Ambrose.
Analysis: Neither of these players were expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left off all rosters at this point.
