(2/9/2014) The Eagles signed receiver Joe Anderson, who appeared in nine games for the Bears over the past two seasons. Anderson, 25, played mainly on special teams, returning five kickoffs in 2013 for an average of 16.4 yards.

Sitting out are quarterback Jay Cutler (groin), linebacker Lance Briggs (shoulder), receiver Joe Anderson (abdomen), offensive tackles James Brown and Jonathan Scott, defensive end Cornelius Washington and defensive tackle Zach Minter.

(10/9/2013) The Bears released their injury report for Thursday's game against the Giants, and four key players are questionable: tight end Martellus Bennett (knee), linebacker Lance Briggs (hip, foot), defensive tackle Stephen Paea (toe) and cornerback Charles Tillman (knee).

Receivers Alshon Jeffery (ankle) and Joe Anderson (knee), and offensive tackles Jermon Bushrod (calf) and Eben Britton (foot) are probable.

The Bears ruled out safety Anthony Walters with a hamstring injury.

(9/29/2013) The Bears have made WRs Marquess Wilson & Joe Anderson, CB Sherrick McManis, OLs James Brown & Jonathan Scott, DE David Bass and DT Zach Minter inactive for Week 4 against the Lions.

The only player listed on the injury list who is inactive is CB Sherrick McManis. McManis has been dealing with a quadriceps injury.

Offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer, asked about filling Bennett's role, mentioned "Joe Anderson, rookie Marquess Wilson and even 6-5, 205-pound second-year receiver Terrence Toliver as possibilities," reports the Sun-Times.
