(12/12/2013) The loss of Terence Newman for at least one week with a knee injury motivated the Bengals to promote cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris from the practice squad on Thursday and release safety Tony Dye .

Lewis-Harris spent seven weeks on the active roster this year and made three tackles in three games played.

(12/8/2013) The Bengals enter Week 14 against the Colts in good health, as their inactive list for Sunday's game is made up entirely of healthy scratches. Offensive lineman Dennis Roland, defensive lineman Christo Bilukidi, defensive back Tony Dye, running back Rex Burkhead, tight end Orson Charles, and wide receivers Dane Sanzenbacher and Ryan Whalen comprise the team's inactive list for Sunday.

(11/17/2013) Bengals defensive back Tony Dye made a huge impact in Week 11 against the Browns, just a day after he was promoted from the practice squad.

Though the 41-20 final score doesn't indicate as much, this was a close game late in the second quarter. Dye returned a blocked punt 24 yards to give the Bengals a 21-13 lead with 4:35 left in the first half. Dye added two tackles in the game as well.

(11/16/2013) The Bengals promoted safety Tony Dye from the practice squad Saturday, and is likely to play in Week 11 against the Browns on special teams in his NFL debut, according to Bengals.com.

Defensive back Chris Lewis-Harris was released in order to make room on the active roster.

(8/31/2013) The Bengals have announced that veteran offensive lineman Dennis Roland, who started 24 games for them in 2009 and 2010, has been waived.

The move was one of many cuts by the team on Saturday. The following players have also been released: wide receivers Cobi Hamilton, Taveon Rogers and Roy Roundtree, linebackers Bruce Taylor and J.K. Schaffer, cornerbacks Chris Lewis-Harris, Onterio McCalebb and Shaun Prater, offensive tackle Reid Fragel, safety Tony Dye, halfback Dan Herron, center T.J. Johnson, defensive end Dontay Moch, quarterback John Skelton, defensive tackle Terrence Stephens and guard John Sullen.

The Bengals also placed running back Bernard Scott (knee) on the Reserve/PUP list and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) on the Reserve/Injured list.
