Emmanuel Lamur big on tackles again

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/14/2014) Though Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur didn't quite match the 11 tackles he had in Week 1, he had another strong performance Week 2 against Atlanta, finishing with eight tackles, including five solo.

Lamur missed all of last season with a dislocated shoulder. He entered 2013 with only 19 tackles in his career.

Emmanuel Lamur picks off pass in career-best performance

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/8/2014) Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur put together a strong performance in Week 1 against the Ravens, in his return from a labrum injury that cost him all of last season.

Lamur made his presence felt in the game, racking up a career-high 11 tackles -- five solo. He added an interception, the first of his career, and a pass defense as well.

Bengals keeping an eye on two players

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/14/2014) Bengals offensive lineman Clint Boling and linebacker/safety Emmanuel Lamur are expected to pitch in more in 2014 after getting hurt in 2013.

The official team website notes that Boling, who had ACL surgery on Dec. 31, is a much-needed piece to the O-line. His versatility provides depth and he's talented enough to start. He thinks he'll be ready for Week 1.

Lamur (shoulder) will be cleared in time for late-April offseason work and also offers a lot of versatility. Big enough to play linebacker and fast enough to dabble at safety, Lamur could work as a three-down defender, according to defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, but might exclusively on passing downs in nickel packages.

Taylor Mays getting shot at linebacker

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/4/2013) Taylor Mays is a safety who plays like a linebacker. Now he's getting a chance to actually play linebacker for the Bengals, reports the Cincinnati Enquirer.

A season-ending shoulder injury to linebacker Emmanuel Lamur has forced Mays to take snaps at that position in practice in nickel and dime packages. And he's certainly not complaining about it.

"I've been picking it up quick," Mays said. "I feel good about it. Some stuff you have to learn on the field but I have to get it done."

The Bengals have only five healthy linebackers for their opener in Chicago.

Dennis Roland among many cuts by Bengals

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/31/2013) The Bengals have announced that veteran offensive lineman Dennis Roland, who started 24 games for them in 2009 and 2010, has been waived.

The move was one of many cuts by the team on Saturday. The following players have also been released: wide receivers Cobi Hamilton, Taveon Rogers and Roy Roundtree, linebackers Bruce Taylor and J.K. Schaffer, cornerbacks Chris Lewis-Harris, Onterio McCalebb and Shaun Prater, offensive tackle Reid Fragel, safety Tony Dye, halfback Dan Herron, center T.J. Johnson, defensive end Dontay Moch, quarterback John Skelton, defensive tackle Terrence Stephens and guard John Sullen.

The Bengals also placed running back Bernard Scott (knee) on the Reserve/PUP list and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) on the Reserve/Injured list.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/30/2013) The Bengals plan to place linebacker Emmanuel Lamur on the season-ending injured reserve list with a dislocated shoulder Saturday, FOX Sports reports. Lamur suffered the injury in Thursday's preseason finale.

Emmanuel Lamur hurt against Colts

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/29/2013) Bengals backup linebacker Emmanuel Lamur has been carted off the field with an apparent shoulder or arm injury, the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting.

Bengals without three linebackers

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/17/2013) Bengals linebackers Sean Porter (shoulder), Vincent Rey (knee), Emmanuel Lamur (hamstring) were held out of Saturday's preseason contest against the Titans. All three linebackers could be eligible to return for the Aug. 24 game in Dallas.
