(11/3/2014) The Packers activated center/guard JC Tretter from short-term injured reserve and released former first-round offensive tackle Derek Sherrod, the team announced. Tretter suffered a knee injury right before the season.

Linsley started his final 26 collegiate games and was an all-Big Ten first team center last season. He will likely compete with JC Tretter and Garth Gerhart for the center job.

The healthy scratches are defensive end C.J. Wilson, guard Lane Taylor, tight end Jake Stoneburner and linebacker Nate Palmer.
