Colts get offensive contributions in Week 12 victory

(11/23/2014) Several Colts contributed offensively in the 23-3 win over the Jaguars. Among them, rookie wideout Donte Moncrief caught all four of his targets for 38 yards and had a 4-yard rush. Tight end Coby Fleener hauled in two of his four targets for 28 yards.

Receiver Hakeem Nicks had an 16-yard grab, and tight end Jack Doyle made two receptions for 8 yards. They'll all face the Redskins in Week 13.

Colts list seven players on final injury report

(10/24/2014) The Colts listed seven players on the final injury report for Week 8 against the Steelers. Reggie Wayne (elbow) was the only player on the list ruled out for Sunday's game. Trent Richardson (hamstring) and Jack Doyle (knee) were deemed questionable.

Meanwhile, Darius Butler (ankle), Arthur Jones (ankle), Gosder Cherilus (rest) and Erik Walden (rest) were all labeled probable for Sunday.


Trio of Colts tight ends wreak havoc on Bengals

(10/19/2014) The terrific trio of Colts tight ends played a significant role Sunday in a blanking of Cincinnati.

Coby Fleener, Dwayne Allen and Jack Doyle combined for eight receptions for 136 yards. The lone score came courtesy of Allen, who gathered in a sideline pass five minutes into the third quarter and raced 32 yards into the end zone. He finished with three catches for 52 yards.

Fleener caught four passes for 64 yards while Doyle made the most of his one target for a 20-yard snag.

The threesome will try to wreak havoc on the Steelers in Week 8.


Colts backup pass catchers manage to play a role Week 3

(9/21/2014) The Colts backups managed to play a role Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Donte Moncrief played the biggest role, gaining 55 yards on four catches. Tight end Dwayne Allen also made an impact, picking up 43 yards during the contest. Jack Doyle also caught three passes for 10 yards. 

They'll take on the Titans Week 4.

(9/16/2014) The Colts got contributions from a variety of players in the Week 2 loss to the Eagles. Among them, tight end Jack Doyle caught two passes for 12 yards, including a 2-yard score that was his first NFL touchdown. Rookie wideout Donte Moncrief had a 16-yard grab.

Colts get minor contributions in playoff loss

(1/12/2014) The Colts received minor contributions from several role players during Sunday's playoff loss to the Patriots.

Griff Whalen made a few big plays to stretch the field for Indianapolis and finished the game with 67 yards on five catches. Jack Doyle had one catch for a 4-yard gain while Da'Rick Rogers, who was supposed to assume Darrius Heyward-Bey's role, was targeted four times and held without a catch in a 43-22 loss.

Colts pass catchers do little Week 17

(5:45 pm ET) The Colts pass catchers didn't do much Week 17 against the Jaguars. 

Griff Whalen was the only player to catch a touchdown, scoring on a 7 yard pass. He finished the game with 32 yards. Tight end Coby Fleener had just one reception for 25 yards. Da'Rick Rodgers caught two passes for 20 yards. Stanley Havili also caught two balls, but had 18 yards. Weslye Saunders had 18 yards, but caught one ball. LaVon Brazill caught one bal for 11 yards. Tight end Jack Doyle had one caught for 2 yards.

Tashard Choice also had one catch for 5 yards. He also carried the ball five times for 18 yards. 


Minor contributors help Colts in Week 16

(12/22/2013) Notable Colts players who posted some numbers in Week 16 include fullback Stanley Havili (a carry for no yards, a catch for 1 yard), running back Tashard Choice (an 8-yard carry in garbage time), tight end Weslye Saunders (a 6-yard catch) and tight end Jack Doyle (a 6-yard catch). Receiver LaVon Brazill was targeted on a deep pass that bounced off his hands in the second half that could have gone for a touchdown. 

The Colts host the Jaguars in Week 17.


Three Colts make small contributions

(12/15/2013) Colts running back Tashard Choice, tight end Jack Doyle and defensive back Corey Lynch all made minimal contributions on offense Week 15 against the Texans.

Choice played the biggest role. Serving as the backup running back after Donald Brown went down with a stinger, he spelled Trent Richardson late in the blowout win, rushing five times for 18 yards. Doyle caught one pass for minus-4 yards. Lynch had a 3-yard carry on a fake punt that failed to pick up the first down.


Colts tight ends get into the Week 14 action

(12/8/2013) Colts tight ends Weslye Saunders and Jack Doyle each caught a pass in Sunday's 42-28 loss to the Bengals. Nine players caught a pass for the Colts in Week 14. 

It was the second reception of the season for both Saunders and Doyle.

The Colts play the Texans in Week 15.

Colts make roster moves

(9/1/2013) The Colts claimed tight end Jack Doyle off waivers from the Titans and waived running back Kerwynn Williams. In addition, Indianapolis signed six players to its practice squad: linebackers Daniel Adongo and Josh McNary, center Thomas Austin, quarterback Chandler Harnish, tight end Dominique Jones and cornerback Sheldon Price.

Titans reach 53-man roster limit

In addition, Tennessee also waived the following 10 players from the roster: defensive tackle Stefan Charles, tight end Jack Doyle, safety Corey Lynch, fullback Collin Mooney, wide receiver Rashad Ross, linebacker Tim Shaw, quarterback Rusty Smith, linebacker Scott Solomon, offensive lineman Fernando Velasco and Jonathan Willard.
