Brian Banks is no longer on the Falcons, but he could be staying in Atlanta, according to Fox Sports.
The linebacker has been waived, but he proved inspirational to his teammates and many others, giving football another shot despite not having played for 10 years. Banks spent time in jail, having been wrongfully accused of rape.
Fox Sports is reporting that Falcons owner Arthur Blank was so impressed with Banks during his time in Atlanta that he is trying to find a career opportunity for him in the community.
Banks was a longshot to make the team and his release was no surprise. But his perseverance in making the attempt could turn his life in a very positive direction.
