Bills issue Friday injury report for Week 3

(9/19/2014) Rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins has been deemed probable by the Bills for the Sunday game against San Diego. He has practiced in full all week with a rib injury.

Also probable are defensive tackle Stefan Charles (hip), tight end Lee Smith (toe), guard Chris Williams (back) and wide receiver Robert Woods (ankle).

Linebacker Randell Johnson (knee) and safety Jonathan Meeks (neck) have been ruled out while linebacker Keith Rivers (groin) has been deemed doubtful.

(9/14/2014) Bills defensive backs Aaron Williams (head) and Stephon Gilmore (groin) were able to play through their injuries Sunday against the Dolphins, but other members of the defense weren't so lucky.

Linebacker Keith Rivers (groin) and defensive back Jonathan Meeks (neck) were both inactive for Week 2 with their injuries.

Defensive backs Aaron Williams (head) and Stephon Gilmore (groin) are both probable for Sunday's game, while Jonathan Meeks (neck) is doubtful with after being limited through the week. Linebacker Keith Rivers has been ruled out after failing to practice throughout the week with a groin injury.

(9/7/2014) Bills starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bears with a groin injury.

Gilmore's absence is a plus for the Bears' talented wide-receiver corps, as cornerback is projected to be the strength of the Bills back seven on defense. Other Bills inactives include running back Bryce Brown, offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, guard Cyril Richardson, safety Jonathan Meeks, tight end Lee Smith and defensive end Jacquies Smith. Anthony Dixon, who was questionable to play with a hamstring issue, is active over Brown.

(12/13/2013) The Bills are fairly healthy heading into their game Sunday at Jacksonville. The only player ruled out is backup cornerback Brandon Smith (ankle).

Two key players are questionable. They are middle linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) and guard Kraig Urbik (foot). Defensive tackle Kyle Williams (Achilles) and safety Jonathan Meeks (ankle) are probable.

(10/14/2013) The Bills announced Monday rookie safety Jonathan Meeks was placed on short-term injured reserve with an ankle injury. Meeks suffered the injury Sunday against the Bengals.

Meeks will be out eight weeks, but he can start practicing in six weeks.
