by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/4/2014) The Saints have ruled the following players as inactive for Saturday's Wild Card playoff game at Philadelphia: Pierre Thomas, Ryan Griffin, Terrence Frederick, Isa Abdul-Quddus, Keyunta Dawson, Tyrunn Walker and Nick Toon.

Ryan Griffin closes season with third solid performance

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin finished his season with another solid game in Week 17, in a 16-10 loss to the Titans. Griffin hauled in three of the seven passes thrown his way for 49 yards.

Griffin finishes the season with 19 receptions for 244 yards, the vast majority of which have come over the last three weeks after injuries above him on the depth chart gave him a chance.

Seven healthy scratches on Saints inactive list

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) Only healthy scratches are included in the inactive list submitted by the Saints on Sunday. They are safety Isa Abdul-Quddus, running back Travaris Cadet, linebacker Keyunta Dawson, cornerback Terrence Frederick , quarterback Ryan Griffin, defensive end Tom Johnson and wideout Nick Toon.

Texans offense in good health Sunday

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) A trio of starting offensive players for the Texans were able to play through their injuries in Week 17 against the Titans, as wide receivers Andre Johnson (wrist) and DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) and tight end Ryan Griffin (knee) took the field at kickoff.

Ryan Griffin on solid run to finish season

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/27/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin has stepped up as a solid contributor in recent weeks, and will look to continue his strong play in Week 17 against the Titans.

Griffin has 195 yards on the season, 128 of which have come over the last two games amid an increased role in the offense. The Texans aren't yet sure who will start at quarterback this Sunday, but Griffin has a solid matchup on the way either way; the Titans rank 22nd in the league in Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends at 8.2 per game.

The Texans use their tight ends quite a bit no matter who is under center, so Griffin should get plenty of work. He has some upside as a low-end starting tight end for Fantasy purposes in Week 17.

Texans list baker's dozen as probable for Sunday

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/27/2013) Thirteen Texans have been deemed probable for the last game of the year, including wide receiver Andre Johnson (wrist) and quarterback T.J. Yates (back).

The other offensive probables are tight end Ryan Griffin (knee), wideout DeAndre Hopkins (ankle), fullback Greg Jones (knee) and offensive linemen Wade Smith (knee) and Derek Newton (knee).

The defensive probables are linebackers Brooks Reed (thumb), Darryl Sharpton (knee) and Justin Tuggle (elbow), backs Josh Victorian (back) and D.J. Swearinger (foot) and end Antonio Smith (knee).

Ryan Griffin leads Texans in receiving yards

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/22/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin caught five passes -- on five targets -- for 66 yards in Sunday's 37-13 loss to the Broncos.

This was the second straight game with 60 or more receiving yards for Griffin. He caught six passes for 62 yards in Week 15 against the Colts. In both games, Griffin was subbing for an injured Garrett Graham.

The Texans face the Titans in Week 17.

Saints inactives Week 16

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/22/2013) The Saints have listed DE Tom Johnson, OLB Keyunta Dawson, S Rafael Bush, RB Travaris Cadet, WR Nick Toon, TE Josh Hill and QB Ryan Griffin as inactive Week 16 against the Panthers.

Cadet was listed as probable on the team's injury report entering the game, but will not go. Dawson and Hill were questionable. Bush was listed as doubtful.

Ryan Griffin a possible sleeper option for Week 16

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/20/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin looks like the starter for the Texans in Week 16, as Garrett Graham and Owen Daniels appear destined for the sidelines thanks to injuries.

Griffin is coming off the best game of his career -- a six-catch, 62-yard performance in Week 15 against the Colts. He has one touchdown on the season (in Week 10) and has nine targets over his last two games.

Essentially an unknown, Griffin does have the advantage of playing in a system that has targeted a tight end seven or more times in all but four games this season. He's also playing against a Broncos team that has allowed a tight end to score in three of the last five.

Griffin carries significant risk in Week 16, but he could return some value for a desperate owner who is facing the loss of Jordan Cameron or even Zach Miller this Sunday.

Three injured on Saints inactive report

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/15/2013) Safety Rafael Bush (ankle), tight end Josh Hill (hamstring) and linebacker Keyunta Dawson (calf) are the lone injured players on the inactive list released Sunday by the Saints.

The healthy inactives are quarterback Ryan Griffin, wideout Nick Toon, cornerback Trevin Wade and defensive end Tyrunn Walker.

Ryan Griffin, DeVier Posey haul in one pass each

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/6/2013) A pair of Texans role players didn't do much in Week 14 against the Jaguars, in a 27-20 loss Thursday.

Tight end Ryan Griffin hauled in one of the three passes thrown his way for 10 yards, while DeVier Posey caught one pass for 9 yards as well.

The Texans' next game comes in Week 15 against the Colts.

Three Texans players contribute one catch Week 12

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/24/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin, wide receiver Keshawn Martin and wide receiver DeVier Posey each finished with one catch Week 12 vs. Jacksonville.

Griffin, who was targeted twice, finished with a team-high 37 receiving yards on his lone catch.

Martin had one catch for 12 yards and had a costly mistake at the end of the game. Martin bobbled a short throw from quarterback Case Keenum and the deflection ended up being intercepted, which sealed a 13-6 win for Jacksonville.

Posey finished with just one catch for 5 yards on one target.

The Texans are back in action Week 13 vs. New England.

Texans injury report as big as state of Texas

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/22/2013) The Texans list 17 players on their Friday injury report, but 11 are probable for the game against the Jaguars on Sunday.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/21/2013) The Saints inactive list for Week 12 against the Falcons Thursday is headlined by running back Darren Sproles, who is sidelined due to knee and ankle injuries.

The remainder of the inactive list includes: offensive lineman Jahri Evans; defensive backs Trevin Wade and Isa Abdul-Quddus; defensive lineman Tyrunn Walker (knee); quarterback Ryan Griffin; and wide receiver Nick Toon

Saints in good shape for game against 49ers

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/17/2013) The Saints are fairly healthy heading into their game Sunday against San Francisco. All but defensive end Tyrunn Walker (knee), tight end Benjamin Watson and safety Kenny Vaccaro, both with concussions, are healthy scratches among their inactives.

Included are tackle Terron Armstead, quarterback Ryan Griffin, running back Khiry Robinson and cornerback Rod Sweeting.

Texans release inactive list Sunday

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/17/2013) The Texans unveiled their injury report for Week 11 against the Raiders, and it came with little in the way of surprises.  Among the seven players who did not take the field, only two were not listed on Friday's injury report: quarterback T.J. Yates and guard Cody White.

The injured Texans who were unable to suit up are: tight end Ryan Griffin (concussion), linebackers Mike Mohamad (hamstring) and Joe Mays (knee, abdomen), and defensive backs Kareem Jackson (chest) and Elbert Mack (hamstring, groin).

Reserve tight end Ryan Griffin (concussion) and cornerback Elbert Mack (hamstring/groin) have been ruled out.

Texans backup pass catchers make minimal impact

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/10/2013) Texans WR DeVier Posey, TE Garrett Graham, FB Greg Jones and TE Ryan Griffin had a minimal impact on the passing game Week 10 against the Cardinals.

Posey did emerge as the club's third receiving option, catching three of his six targets for 34 yards. Griffin managed to score on a 2 yard catch, but had to leave the game with an injury. Graham had just 18 yards on two catches, and Jones caught one ball for 19 yards.

They'll take on Oakland Week 11.

Ryan Griffin out Week 10 with concussion

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/10/2013) Texans tight end Ryan Griffin is out Week 10 against the Cardinals with a concussion.

Griffin scored a touchdown early in the game, but was injured on a kickoff at the beginning of the third quarter. He was initially considered questionable before the team ruled him out.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2013) In the absence of Owen Daniels, Texans tight end Ryan Griffin moved up one spot in the depth chart Sunday against the Rams in Week 6.

Griffin, who had yet to catch a pass this season entering the game, was targeted three times, bringing in two receptions for 18 yards. The Texans fell, 38-13.

(10/9/2013) Texans coach Gary Kubiak announced Wednesday the team's rotation at tight end in the wake of Owen Daniels' fibula injury. Kubiak said Garrett Graham takes over as the starting tight end, Ryan Griffin will see an increase in playing time and Jake Byrne was signed off the Chargers' practice squad to serve as the third-string tight end.
