Broncos K Brandon McManus held out Tuesday

(10/21/2014) Broncos kicker Brandon McManus did not practice Tuesday due to a groin injury, but coach John Fox doesn't seem worried about McManus' availability for Thursday's game against the Chargers, reports ESPN.com. "See what tomorrow brings," Fox said. "I'm sure he'll be good to go."

(10/20/2014) Broncos kicker Brandon McManus didn't receive a field-goal attempt Sunday but kicked six extra points in his team's 42-17 thrashing of the 49ers in Week 7.

McManus watched Peyton Manning march the offense up and down the field over the first three quarters of the game, and backup Brock Osweiler wasn't able to lead the team into scoring position once he took over in the fourth quarter. McManus has received more than one field-goal attempt just once this season. He and the Broncos will face the Chargers in Week 8.


Broncos announce Week 7 inactives vs. 49ers

(10/19/2014) The Broncos have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's game against the 49ers: running back Montee Ball (groin), wide receiver Cody Latimer, cornerback Tony Carter, linebacker Shaquil Barrett, guard Ben Garland, tackle Michael Schofield and defensive tackle Mitch Unrein.

The Broncos are very healthy heading into Week 7, with Ball the only player on the active roster missing the game due to injury. All the team's players listed as probable on the final injury report are active, including running back Juwan Thompson (knee), linebacker Corey Nelson (hamstring), kicker Brandon McManus (groin) and defensive backs Omar Bolden (groin), David Bruton (ankle) and Chris Harris (knee).

(10/17/2014) Running back Montee Ball (groin) will almost certainly be the lone injured Broncos player out for their Sunday night game against San Francisco. The rest on their injury report issued Friday are probable.

That group consists of defensive backs Omar Bolden (groin), David Bruton (ankle) and Chris Harris (knee), kicker Brandon McManus (groin), linebacker Corey Nelson (hamstring) and running back Juwan Thompson (knee).

(10/12/2014) Broncos placekicker Brandon McManus opened the scoring Sunday against the Jets with a 37-yard field goal, then spent the rest of the afternoon watching Peyton Manning drive his team into the end zone.

McManus made good on all four of his extra point efforts.

David Bruton, Andre Caldwell, Chris Harris, Lerentee McCray, Brandon McManus, Michael Schofield and Juwan Thompson should all be able to play Sunday. All seven were able to take part in full practice Friday.

McManus hit just two of his three field goal attempts, but made up for that with five extra points. He was able to hit from 41 and 44 yards out, but missed from 53 yards away. He'll take on the Jets Week 6.

Quinton Carter, Virgil Green, Brandon McManus, Danny Trevathan and Louis Vasquez will all play. Both Carter and Trevathan are dealing with knee injuries. Green is recovering from a concussion. McManus has an groin issue, and Vasquez is dealing with a rib injury.

(9/19/2014) Linebacker Danny Trevathan (knee) is the lone questionable player on the Friday injury report released Friday by the Broncos for their Sunday game against Seattle.

Fellow linebacker Lerentee McCray (knee) is the lone Bronco ruled out. Listed as probable are cornerback Chris Harris (knee), kicker Brandon McManus (groin), linebacker Von Miller (groin) and guard Ben Garland (ankle).

(9/14/2014) Broncos kicker Brandon McManus converted his only field-goal attempt and all three of his extra points in his team's 24-17 win over the Chiefs in Week 2.

McManus didn't receive a field-goal try until late in the game, hitting from 20 yards out to extend the team's lead to seven points late in the fourth quarter. He's converted two short field-goal attempts in two weeks while filling in for Matt Prater. The Broncos travel to Seattle in Week 3.

(8/26/2014) The Broncos waived kicker Mitch Ewald and seem prepared to move forward with kicker Brandon McManus while Matt Prater serves his four-game suspension. In seven career preseason games, McManus is 3 for 3 on field goals, all the kicks coming from 46 yards or longer.

Denver acquired McManus from the Giants for a conditional seventh-round pick.
