(10/20/2014) The Saints placed defensive end Glenn Foster on injured reserve after he hurt his knee in Sunday's loss to the Lions. Foster, 24, appeared in five games this season.

(9/14/2014) Healthy scratches dominate the inactive list released Sunday by the Saints in Cleveland. The lone two injured players are safety Marcus Ball (hamstring) and fullback Erik Lorig (ankle).

The other inactives are wideouts Nick Toon and Joseph Morgan, cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste, guard Senio Kelemente and defensive end Glenn Foster.


Six Saints listed as questionable

(12/13/2013) Saints OL Terron Armstead, NT Brodrick Bunkley, S Rafael Bush, OB Keyunta Dawson, DE Glenn Foster and TE Josh Hill are questionable Week 15 against the Rams.

Bush, Dawson and Hill were unable to participate in practices throughout the week. Bunkley and Foster were able to practice in full Friday.

Bunkley and Strief were able to participate in limited practice Friday. Bush, Dawson and Foster did not practice Friday.

(11/11/2013) The Saints DST did not produce a turnover in the Week 10 blowout of the Cowboys, but otherwise turned in a strong performance. New Orleans held Dallas to 194 total yards and did not allow a third-down conversion.

Defensive ends Glenn Foster and Tom Johnson and linebacker Parys Haralson all registered sacks for the Saints, who have a tasty matchup Week 11 at home vs. the 49ers.


David Hawthorne, Junior Galette, Glenn Foster all get sacks

(10/27/2013) The Saints defense got significant contributions from relative unknowns Week 8 against the Bills. Linebacker David Hawthorne tied for the team lead with eight tackles, all solo, and forced a fumble that teammate Junior Galette recovered on a sack of quarterback Thad Lewis early in the first quarter. It was Hawthorne's second sack this season.

Galette forced a fumble on a sack of his own in the second quarter, but the Saints didn't recover it. He also had six tackles, including five solo. The sack was his fourth of the year.

Defensive lineman Glenn Foster also contributed a sack, his second of the year. It was his only tackle on the day.

(10/11/2013) The Saints could be missing a number of contributors on the defensive side of the ball for Week 6 against the Patriots, based on Friday's injury report. After being limited in practice throughout the week, linebacker Ramon Humber (calf), defensive backs Malcolm Jenkins (neck) and Keenan Lewis (knee) and defensive lineman Brodrick Bunkley (calf) are all questionable for Sunday's game.

The team also has five players on the injury report who are expected to play through their injuries. The team has listed linebacker Martez Wilson (ankle), defensive ends Tom Johnson (hamstring) and Glenn Foster (ankle) and defensive bacsk Chris Carr (back) and Isa Abdul-Quddus(ankle) on the injury report as probable.

Cameron Jordan leads prolific pass rush

(9/22/2013) The Saints had a sack-heavy afternoon Week 3 against the Cardinals, taking down quarterback Carson Palmer four times. Defensive lineman Cameron Jordan led the way with two sacks, giving him three in two games. He also had four tackles, including three solo. Linebacker Junior Galette had a sack on three tackles (one solo), and defensive lineman Glenn Foster added one as his only tackle of the day.

"It was all just pressure everywhere," said Jordan, who exchanged high-fives with fellow defensive lineman Akiem Hicks in the locker room afterward. "When you're part of a D-line like that, I mean, it's a party."
