Browns unveil lengthy injury report for Week 6

(10/10/2014) The Browns unveiled a lengthy injury report for Week 6 against Pittsburgh. Wide receiver Rodney Smith (hamstring) and defensive lineman Phillip Taylor (knee) and Billy Winn (quad) have been officially ruled out for the game.

Deemed questionable were star cornerback Joe Haden (hip), linebacker Paul Kruger (back) and defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (ankle).

Defensive lineman Desmond Bryant (wrist), tight end Jordan Cameron (ankle, shoulder), defensive back Tashaun Gipson (shoulder), offensive lineman John Greco (knee), linebacker Eric Martin (personal), defensive back Buster Skrine (thumb), running back Ben Tate (finger) and offensive lineman Joe Thomas (rest) have been all ruled probable for Sunday.


Browns healthy heading into battle against Baltimore

(9/21/2014) Healthy scratches dominate the injury report issued by the Browns on Sunday for their Week 3 game against Baltimore. The lone injured player, as expected, is featured back Ben Tate (knee).

The other inactives are wide receiver LaRon Boyd, cornerbacks Robert Nelson and Pierre Desir, linebacker Eric Martin, nose tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen and tight end Gerell Robinson.

(9/7/2014) Healthy scratches make up only two of the seven players on the inactive list posted Sunday by the Browns for their season opener in Pittsburgh. Defensive lineman Desmond Bryant (wrist) is the lone injured starter.

Also out are cornerbacks Pierre Desire (knee) and Robert Nelson, linebacker Eric Martin (concussion), offensive lineman Paul McQuistan (ankle), defensive lineman John Hughes (hamstring) and running back Glenn Winston.

(9/5/2014) The Browns have listed nine players on the injury report Week 1.

Both Paul McQuistan and John Hughes have been ruled out for the contest. Defensive lineman Desmond Bryant has been listed as doubtful. 

The team did list five players as probable. Cornerbacks Pierre Desir, Joe Haden and Buster Skrine should all be good to go. So will safety Jim Leonhard, linebacker Eric Martin and long-snapper Christian Yount


Browns release Wednesday practice report

(9/3/2014) Browns defensive lineman Desmond Bryant was unable to practice Wednesday as he recovers from wrist surgery, and he remains questionable for Sunday's game.

Offensive lineman Paul McQuistan (ankle) also missed practice, while linebacker John Hughes (hamstring) was a limited participant. Both linebacker Eric Martin (concussion) and cornerback Buster Skrine (thumb) participated fully.

(8/23/2014) The Browns have a lengthy list of players sidelined for Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, as a result of a slew of injuries in recent weeks.

Defensive backs Buster Skrine (thumb) and Joe Haden (foot), and wide receiver Nate Burleson (hamstring) headline the list. Also among the inactives are: running back Edwin Baker (hamstring), defensive backs Pierre Desir (knee), Isaiah Trufant (knee), T.J. Heath (hip) and K'Waun Williams (hamstring), linebackers Eric Martin (concussion), Darius Eubanks (shoulder) and Keith Pough (ankle), defensive lineman Desmond Bryant (wrist), tight end Martell Webb (groin) and offensive linemen Michael Bowie (shoulder), Randall Harris (knee) and Nick McDonald (wrist). 


Six Browns don't travel to Detroit for preseason opener

(8/8/2014) The Browns will be without linebackers Darius Eubanks (shoulder), Eric Martin (concussion), and Alex Parsons (knee) along with offensive linemen Randall Harris (knee), Reid Fragel (lower leg) and Nate McDonald (wrist) for Saturday's preseason opener, as none of them made the trip to Detroit.

(12/20/2013) Browns cornerback Joe Haden (hip) and wide receiver Davone Bess (personal) are the lone questionables on the injury report released by the team on Friday.

The probables are linebackers Tank Carder (shoulder) and Eric Martin (illness), running back Willis McGahee (concussion, knee), defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (calf), tackles Mitchell Schwartz (toe) and Joe Thomas (back), punter Spencer Lanning (knee) and safety T.J. Ward (shoulder).

(9/6/2013) The Browns have officially ruled outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo (lung) and guard Shawn Lauvao (ankle) out for Week 1 against Miami. The following are also on the injured list:

Questionable: Defensive end Ahtyba Rubin (calf), cornerback Buster Skrine (shoulder). Probable: Wide receiver Davone Bess (knee), defensive end Desmond Bryant (back), tight end Jordan Cameron (groin), linebacker Eric Martin (foot), cornerback Chris Owens (foot) and linebacker Jabaal Sheard (illness).


Eric Martin in, Trevin Wade out for Browns

(8/28/2013) The Browns have waived second-year cornerback Trevin Wade, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The team dropped Wade after being awarded linebacker Eric Martin, who was placed on waivers by New Orleans.

Wade entered camp with high expectations, but sprained his shoulder making an interception. He received some playing time in the secondary last season after being drafted in the seventh round.

Martin, who played in all three of the Saints' preseason games and registered one special teams tackle, will likely play for the Browns Thursday night in Chicago.
