Cowboys unveil lengthy injury report for Colts game

(4:59 pm ET) The Cowboys have listed 11 players on its final injury report for Sunday's game against Indianapolis. Defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf, personal) and outside linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) were ruled out for the game. Tackle Doug Free (ankle) is doubtful, and guard Zack Martin (ankle) and running back DeMarco Murray (hand) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were labeled probable: Strong safety Jeff Heath (thumb), middle linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive back Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), quarterback Tony Romo (back), defensive end George Selvie (thumb) and quarterback Brandon Weeden (personal).


Cowboys list Week 15 inactives vs. Eagles

(12/14/2014) The Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 15 game against the Eagles: defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), quarterback Dustin Vaughan, tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins, defensive end Kenneth Boatright and defensive back Jakar Hamilton.

Heath was doubtful to play Sunday while Watson had previously been ruled out. The team will have all seven players listed as probable active, including quarterback Tony Romo (back), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), safety Jeff Heath (thumb) and defensive ends Demarcus Lawrence (chest), Jeremy Mincey (not injury related) and George Selvie (thumb).

(12/12/2014) The Cowboys enter Week 15 relatively healthy with seven of nine players on its final injury report deemed probable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. Those players include safety Jeff Heath (thumb), defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence (chest), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive end Jeremy Mincey (personal), defensive back Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), quarterback Tony Romo (back) and defensive end George Selvie (thumb).

Linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) was ruled out and defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf) was deemed as doubtful.

(12/4/2014) The Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Thursday night's Week 14 matchup with the Bears: safety Jeff Heath (thumb), cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), defensive end Demarcus Lawrence (chest), quarterback Dustin Vaughan and offensive tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins.

Lawrence was deemed questionable to play Thursday after being limited in practice Tuesday. Heath, Patmon and Watson were all ruled out for Week 14 on the team's final injury report. The team will have all its probables active for Thursday night's game.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo probable for Thursday's game

(11/26/2014) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is probable heading into Thursday's game against the Eagles.

Romo was listed with a back injury, but was able to practice in full on both Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Josh Brent, Tyrone Crawford, Doug Free, Nick Hayden, Rolando McClain and Terrance Williams were also listed as probable, and should play.

The team did not list any players as questionable, though Jeff Heath was listed as doubtful.

Jack Crawford, Tyler Patmon and Dekoda Watson were all ruled out prior to Thursday.

Defensive backs Morris Claiborne (shoulder), Jeff Heath, Johnny Thomas, Matt Johnson and B.W. Webb; linebackers DeVonte Holloman (neck) and Orie Lemon; defensive linemen Henry Melton (groin), Terrell McClain (ankle), and Demarcus Lawrence; tight end Gavin Escobar (shoulder) and offensive lineman Darrion Weems are all inactive Saturday.  


Jeff Heath works past minor injury scare

(7/27/2014) Cowboys safety Jeff Heath suffered a minor injury scare during Sunday's practice, ESPN reports. Heath jammed his wrist while trying to make a tackle on Lance Dunbar. He briefly left practice and was evaluated by team trainers before returning to the field taped up.

Jeff Heath scores first ever touchdown

(11/24/2013) Cowboys defensive back Jeff Heath, a recent addition to the starting lineup, recovered a fumble in the first quarter and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown Week 12 at the Giants. He finished the game with six tackles, including five solo.

Heath was coming off a nine-tackle performance at New Orleans in Week 10.


Injury might force Cowboys to make change at strong safety

(10/24/2013) Cowboys safety J.J. Wilcox injured in his knee in practice Thursday and his status for Week 8 at Detroit is now up in the air, according to The Dallas Morning News. Sources said the team is awaiting the results of an MRI on Wilcox's injured knee.

If Wilcox, who moved into the starting lineup at strong safety Week 3, is unable to play, then Jeff Heath is expected to take his spot.
