C Max Unger's injury posing problems for Seahawks

(11/25/2014) Seahawks starting center Max Unger, who suffered a high ankle sprain Week 11, was unable to practice Tuesday as the team prepared for Thursday's game at the 49ers. Unger's absence was a big factor in Seattle allowing seven sacks Week 12 against Arizona.

Coach Pete Carroll told reporters he didn't know if Patrick Lewis would get another start at center, or if the team would go with recently-signed Lemuel Jeanpierre.

(11/17/2014) Seahawks starting center Max Unger will miss 3-4 weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain and a twisted knee Week 11 at Kansas City, coach Pete Carroll told 710 ESPN Radio. Patrick Lewis, who replaced Unger against the Chiefs, figures to start Sunday against the Cardinals.

Starting center Max Unger was in and out of Monday's win with a foot injury, and with the starter day-to-day, the team has brought in depth at the position. Undrafted in 2013, Lewis has yet to play in a regular-season game.

(8/24/2014) The Jaguars waived receivers Kenny Shaw and Ramses Barden, guard Antoine Caldwell, linebackers Allen Bradford and Josh Hull, center Patrick Lewis, running back Harvey Unga, cornerback Mike Harris, long snapper Charley Hughlett and safety Joe Young.

They also waived/injured defensive tackle David Carter (knee).

(12/29/2013) The Jaguars have made QB Ricky Stanzi, CB Dwayne Gratz, RB Delone Carter, LB Geno Hayes, TE Allen Reisner, OL Patrick Lewis and DE Gerald Rivers inactive Week 17.

Both Hayes and Gratz were ruled out prior to Sunday. The other five players were not listed on the injury report, and are healthy scratches.

Defensive end Billy Winn (quad) is the only other injured inactive. Quentin Groves, who will help out at Sheard's spot, will play despite an ankle problem.

The healthy inactives are wide receiver Charles Johnson, offensive linemen Patrick Lewis, Martin Wallace and Garrett Gilkey and tight end Keavon Milton.
