(12/21/2014) Bears placekicker Jay Feely did little but sit on the sideline Sunday against Detroit. He was called upon for two extra points and hit them both, but attempted no field goals.

(12/16/2014) For the second straight game, Bears kicker Jay Feely handled placekicking duties in place of Robbie Gould (sore quad). And for the second straight game, Feely did not try a field goal.

Feely kicked one PAT in Monday's 31-15 home loss to New Orleans. It's unclear who will kick for Chicago on Sunday against Detroit.

(12/5/2014) Bears kicker Jay Feely didn't receive a field goal attempt Week 14 against the Cowboys.

Feely was signed on Wednesday, and got the call after Robbie Gould was inactive for the contest. He was left without an opportunity for a field goal. Feely did manage to hit both his extra point attempts, but that was the extent of his scoring opportunities.

If Gould remains out another week, Feely would take on the Saints Week 15.

(12/3/2014) With Bears kicker Robbie Gould battling a sore quad, the team announced it signed former Cardinals kicker Jay Feely. Feely hit 30 of 36 field goals with Arizona last year.

The Bears host the Cowboys on Thursday. If Gould is unavailable, Feely would be active.


Report: Jay Feely, Connor Barth will work out for Broncos

(11/24/2014) Former Cardinals kicker Jay Feely will work out for the Broncos on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports. According to the Denver Post, former Buccaneers kicker Connor Barth will also work out for the team.

Feely worked out for Detroit earlier in the season. Barth spent his last four seasons with Tampa Bay before he was waived by the team before the start of the season. One of the two could be in line to replace Brandon McManus, who missed his fourth field goal of the season on Sunday against the Dolphins. All four of McManus' missed field goals have come since Denver released Matt Prater in October.

(10/6/2014) Former Broncos kicker Matt Prater and former Cardinals kicker Jay Feely are scheduled to work out for the Lions Tuesday, according to ESPN. The Lions announced Monday they released kicker Alex Henery, who missed three field goals in a loss to the Bills Sunday.

Former Bucs kicker Connor Barth is also expected to be at Tuesday's workout, according to the Detroit Free Press.

(2/11/2014) Cardinals kicker Jay Feely found himself in coach Bruce Arians' doghouse at times last season, and there's no guarantee the team brings back the free agent, reports ESPN.com. Feely hit 30 of 36 field goals, but he missed two from less than 30 yards and had a poor kickoff in the season-ending loss to the 49ers.

“Jay is an unrestricted free agent, so it will be all business from here on out," Arians said after the season. "I love Jay to death. He was a captain. Wish he would have kicked the last kickoff down the middle.”

Feely, 37, made $1.55 million last year.

(12/29/2013) Cardinals kicker Jay Feely was not at his best as he converted only 2 of 4 field goals during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the 49ers in Week 17. Feely missed kicks from 31 and 43 yards. He converted a 49-yard shot and 43-yard attempt in the fourth quarter. He also added two extra points in the loss.

Feely finished the regular season 30 of 36 in field goal attempts, an 83.3 conversion rate.

Feely converted kicks from 39, 46 and then 26 yards. He finished the game 3 of 3 in field goal attempts in a 17-10 victory.

Feely had two attempts in the second half, and missed both. In the third quarter, he missed from 50 yards out. In the fourth quarter, Feely could not hit a 25 yard field goal. Those misses were somewhat offset by four extra points. Feely will look to rebound Week 15 against the Titans.

(11/24/2013) Cardinals kicker Jay Feely had a big game Week 12 against the Colts.

Feely hit field goals from 21, 25, 48 and 50 yards out. He had a fifth attempt, but the kick was blocked. Feely also hit four extra point attempts. It was the second time this season Feely has hit four field goals in one game. He'll take on the Eagles Week 13.

(11/17/2013) Cardinals kicker Jay Feely finished with nine points during a 27-14 win Week 11 at Jacksonville. Feely made two field goals and three extra points.

Feely made a 21-yard field goal in the third quarter and a 32-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Feely has made at least two field goals in six of his last seven games. He's managed at least nine points in four straight games.

The Cardinals are back in action Week 12 vs. Indianapolis.

Feely didn't receive his chances until after halftime, but was able to put his team ahead with a 21 yard chip-shot. Feely also hit on three extra point attempts.

The Cardinals will take on the Jaguars Week 11, so Feely will be looking for a more productive game.
