| Marlon McCree, DB DEN | |
| News: The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran safety Marlon McCree, bringing him back to where he began his career. McCree likely will be the primary backup to starting safeties Reggie Nelson and Sean Considine this fall. Jacksonville drafted McCree in the seventh round in 2001. He started 27 games before coach Jack Del Rio waived him in 2003. McCree has since played for Houston, Carolina, San Diego and Denver. He has 91 career starts, including eight games with the Broncos last season. He has 478 tackles and 16 interceptions in eight seasons. | Analysis: McCree is a hard hitter and a potential tackle machine, but if he's not starting then Fantasy owners can't use him. If he plays well, look for him off the waiver wire. |

| News: All-Pro fullback Lorenzo Neal was released Thursday by the San Diego Chargers, who also parted with safety Marlon McCree and right tackle Shane Olivea in the hours before free agency opened. General manager A.J. Smith said all three requested their release so they can quickly jump into free agency. McCree was released in part to allow safety Eric Weddle to move into the starting lineup. Neal's role was expected to decrease in 2008. Neal also was a Pro Bowler. McCree is probably best remembered for fumbling a fourth-down interception in the fourth quarter that gave the New England Patriots new life in a playoff win over the top-seeded Chargers after the 2006 season. | Analysis: Neal and McCree have minimal Fantasy value at this time.
