by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Bears part ways with two players

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/23/2014) The Bears have terminated the contract of veteran safety Adrian Wilson and placed cornerback Derricus Purdy on waivers Saturday, per the Chicago Tribune.

Both Bears' safety spots up for grabs

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/1/2014) Five-time Pro Bowler Adrian Wilson and Danny McCray worked as the Bears' starting safeties Friday, but both positions are truly up for grabs, reports ESPN.com. Ryan Mundy, Brock Vereen and M.D. Jennings also have taken snaps with the starters.

Chris Conte (shoulder) and Craig Steltz (groin) remain on the PUP list. If Conte comes back healthy, he'll be a favorite to start at free safety, the website said.

Bears sign Adrian Wilson

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(6/23/2014) The Bears signed five-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson, who missed all of last season with a torn Achilles tendon. Wilson, 34, was cut by the Patriots in April.

He's one of four defensive backs in NFL history with at least 25 interceptions and 25 sacks.

Deone Bucannon should start immediately for the Cards

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(5/9/2014) We love the addition of Washington State's Deone Bucannon to the Arizona secondary. Already ripe with talent, Bucannon will bring a physical edge to the defensive backfield and especially help the Cardinals against the run. That could lead to a lot of tackles, which is of course great for Fantasy owners. To wit, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim compared him to Adrian Wilson.

"He plays with a lot of passion and he'll be a great fit in our locker room," coach Bruce Arians said. "He's a humble kid who loves to play the game and wants to learn from the best. We'll give him opportunities to knock the crap out of people in our division."

There's not a whole lot else to say except keep an eye out for him on Draft Day. We like him a lot. Consider him with a middle- to late-round pick in seasonal leagues, a mid-round pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a second-round choice in rookie-only drafts.

Patriots release Adrian Wilson

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4/4/2014) The Patriots released safety Adrian Wilson, who spent last year on injured reserve with a torn Achilles.

Adrian Wilson expects to be ready for workouts

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/18/2014) Patriots safety Adrian Wilson is expected to be ready for offseason workouts after rehabbing and mising the entire 2013 season.

Wilson ruptured his Achilles last August and could be a cap casualty, saving the Pats $1.2 million against the cap, according to the Boston Herald. Several Patriots players talked about working out with Wilson this spring, suggesting they expect him to stay with the team.

Patriots place veteran Adrian Wilson on IR - but is he really hurt?

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/31/2013) The Patriots are reporting that they have placed five-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson on IR with a hamstring injury. It is also being speculated that Wilson is not hurt, but is being paid by the Patriots as a veteran courtesy rather than waiving him.

The 33-year-old cornerback signed a three-year contract as a free agent with the Patriots in mid-March after spending 12 years with Arizona. The versatile Wilson has 27 career interceptions and 25.5 sacks to his credit.

Adrian Wilson adjusting well to Patriots' system

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/26/2013) Patriots safety Adrian Wilson, who spent his first 12 seasons with the Cardinals, has adjusted well to New England's system, coach Bill Belichick told ESPN.com. “I think he’s adapted well,” the coach said. “He’s a smart guy, has a lot of experience. Really an intense player who focuses on his job; his preparation and work ethic is very professional.”

Patriots grab Wilson

by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com
(3/16/2013) Veteran defensive back Adrian Wilson signed a three-year deal with the Patriots on Friday, just his second organization in his 12-year career, the Boston Globe reports. Wilson spent his entire career with the Cardinals before being released in a salary cap move last week.

Cards to release safety Wilson

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/8/2013) The Cardinals told safety Adrian Wilson they will release him on Friday according to XTRA 910. Wilson was set to make $2.5 million in 2013 and $3.5 million in 2014 and 2015.
