(12/12/2014) The Buccaneers have listed 10 players on its final injury repory for Week 15 against Carolina. Linebacker Mason Foster (Achilles), defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (knee), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring), wide receiver Solomon Patton (foot), running back Bobby Rainey (ankle), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back) and safety Major Wright (ribs).

Meanwhile, the following players were ruled as probable for Sunday: Tackle Anthony Collins (elbow), linebacker Lavonte David (concussion) and tight end Brandon Myers (calf).

Collins is nursing an elbow injury and was downgraded from questionable to out. He was not able to make the trip and his next opportunity to play will be Week 15 at Carolina.

Major Wright, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Luke Stocker and Crezdon Butler are listed as probable. The Bucaneers take on the Lions Week 14.

Foster is also dealing with an Achilles injury and is questionable for Week 14 against the Lions. Collins missed Weeks 10 and 11 with a foot injury.

He was labeled doubtful for Sunday's game with an ankle injury. Alterraun Verner (hamstring) and Anthony Collins (foot) were the only other players deemed doubtful.

The following players were ruled questionable: Lavonte David (knee), Vincent Jackson (foot), Michael Johnson (hand), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (thumb), Charles Sims (ankle), Akeem Spence (hamstring) and Luke Stocker (hip).

Tackle Anthony Collins, who had been doubtful, is indeed out with a foot injury. Center Evan Dietrich-Smith, who had been deemed probable with a knee issue, is set to play.

(10/24/2014) Linebacker Brandon McGee (knee) is the lone Buccaneers player ruled out for the Sunday game against Minnesota. Cornerback Johnthan Banks (neck) is the only teammate on the Friday injury report not deemed questionable.

That group includes linebacker Jonathan Casillas (hamstring), tackle Anthony Collins (knee), safety Dashon Goldson (ankle), wide receiver Vincent Jackson (rib), quarterback Josh McCown (thumb) and defensive back Keith Tandy (hamstring.

Goldson and McCown both went from limited in practice to full participation Friday. Jackson has been limited throughout.

(3/13/2014) Anthony Collins has picked the Buccaneers, reportedly over the Bengals and Panthers, as his new team. The offensive tackle has agreed to terms with them according to The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. 

ESPN reports the deal is good for five years and $30 million with $15 million guaranteed

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound behemoth out of Kansas started seven games for the Bengals last year. He has 25 career starts over six seasons.

(2/10/2014) There's a 45 percent chance emerging left tackle Anthony Collins returns to the Bengals, estimates the Cincinnati Enquirer. The paper expects the Bengals to make an initial offer while allowing Collins to test the free agent market.

"If somebody is going to back the truck up to him, they will say congratulations and move in another direction," the report said.

The other offensive probables are linemen Andre Smith, Andrew Whitworth and Anthony Collins with ankle injuries.

The defensive probables are defensive backs Chris Crocker (knee) and Dre Kirkpatrick (illness) and linebacker Vincent Rey (ankle).


Bengals trio returns Friday to practice

(1/3/2014) Three Bengals starters who were held out of Thursday practice were on the field for the Friday session, the Cincinnati Enquirer has reported. Cornerbacks Terence Newman (ankle) and Dre Kirkpatrick (illness) and tackle Anthony Collins (ankle) all participated.

The availability of Newman was particularly encouraging because he was considered unlikely to play in the Sunday playoff game against visiting San Diego. Their statuses will be clearer when the team releases its injury report later in the day.

Newman is not expected to play against the Chargers, but has not been ruled out.

Collins has not started many games over his career. In five seasons, Collins has started 19 games. He'll have his hands full with DE Julius Peppers Week 1. Collins is replacing starter Andrew Whitworth, who is out with a knee injury.
